Maltby 2022

I keep checking the GolfWorks website obsessively every day hoping the TS3’s will be available. I just found an update on the Maltby forum:

They are on the way and should be here very soon, like within 2weeks, maybe sooner.  The estimated date we just received was January 27th.  They are in the U.S., just waiting for the rail and truck part to get them to us.  Once they arrive, it will take a day or two to go through the receiving process, check and get them on the shelf.

So, looking like early February

Very cool!  Are you ditching the 101T for the TS3?  I always thought the Takomo was a pretty good bang for the buck, although they have gone up in price recently.

The Takomo 101T irons are great but I’m just an incorrigible tinkerer and want to build some new irons with graphite shafts.

So, I have ordered a KBS TGI 110 4iron shaft that I plan to put in an existing TS1 6iron head and also ordered a Steelfiber FC115 X flex 5iron shaft to install in my TS1 5iron head. Then, hopefully I will pick one of those and build a full TS3 set.

When the TS1-IM comes out this summer, I’m sure I will build a set of those as well. It’s a sickness!! LOL

Sounds like a solid plan.  I'm a tinkerer as well.  I am going to try the Steelfiber out on my Ping Crossover and maybe a Hogan GCD 4iron.  I have a lot of old projects just waiting for a new lease on life.  Let us know what you think of the 5 and 6 iron setup.  How does the size and weight of the TS1 head compare to the Takomo 101T?

The TS1 and 101T are pretty similar. I’d say the 101T has a slightly shorter blade length and slightly wider sole than the TS1. Also, the edges of the 101T are rounder and I think it may have slightly less offset.

Thx.....doesn't really address what the.grind will be like but if it is ts2 like it will be a winner.....and higher trajectory and.spin also a good thing.  Loved the forgives, feel, and sole design of the ts2, but could not get it to spin enough and gave up on them.

I must have missed the talk about the ts4......what's the word on them?

Are they going to be making any new STi's? I am looking to jump into the Maltby gang soon and want to go the STi2 route. I am seeing all the chatter about the new TS's coming out and am wondering if STi's might be getting an upgrade if anyone has any knowledge. Thanks!

Excited to join the Maltby gang as my first set of new to me clubs. Any other stuff of theirs I should try? Putters look great as well as the wedges.

I'm a big fan of the KE4 tc tour fw woods and hybrids. I also have the black PTM and STi2 irons (which I need to sell).

I think the Sti2 line is going to be stable this year.

What's up with the Golfworks website?  Paks page is getting 404 page not found error, The KE4TC Max driver head no longer listed., Coming soon message when you try to navigate the website, can't sort it like before, etc...

Webmaster really screwed this website up.  Been trying all weekend to buy a max milled wedge from the pak.

Guess I'll just regrip my current wedges

Looks like they are still having issues with the new OS upgrade. Britt said they hope to have things ironed out by the end of the week.

For those who were here before GolfWRX got to the current software, it was a nightmare during the switch and took months to fix.  My guess is whatever vendor GolfWorks used overpromised and underdelivered.

Just give them time to sort it out.  I know I'm waiting for the TS3 and KE3 Max Driver paks but I'm not in a rush.

Not in a rush either.  I need a new 56* but it can wait.  Only cost $3 labor to regrip clubs at PGASS.  I have a whole shopping bag full (40-50 grips) of Lamkin and Golf Pride grips from when a local store closed in 2020. Got it for $0.  🤷‍♂️.  Only cost $3 to regrip and I'll use it anyway at the course with the pebbly sand traps.

Goodness that new website roll out is a disaster. Equipment is quality, but web design is hurting.

100%. I figured there were some things going on on the back end because I ordered a replacement DBM iron head on Friday and there was nowhere to request I bend it before submission. I accidentally submitted the order expecting to see a confirmation page that didn't exist. I also foolishly did this like at 2:03pm PT on Friday a couple minutes after they closed for the weekend. I immediately called and emailed to get the order adjusted and then early Monday morning was told it was too late and the order was sent to shipping. What?! Thankfully they eventually made it right and bent the club for me but it was a bit of a mess of a process. If you can make changes to an order within 2 hours of submission as stated on their website, they should really add this ability into the actual ordering part of the website if you make an order on the weekend

Are the TS1-IM's more similar to P790, P770, Takomo, etc?  I'm a 14-16 hcp and looking for a hollow body distance iron.  Wondering if I should wait for the TS1-IM, get the TS-1 or Takomo?  Budget don't allow for OEM.

TS1 is most similar to a P770.  If you are decent at finding the center of the face and aren't too steep, I think the TS1 would be a good value for you.  Sounds like the TS1-IM will be closer to the P790 with a little wider sole with more radius and maybe a little longer on the blade.  If the KBS shafts fit you well, the Takomo 101T is hard to beat at less than $600.

I am a little steep.  I'm gaming the TM Sim2 with KBS 85 Max S.  I'm right at the cusp of R flex.  I'm still getting 115 mph ball speed on 7i - 150-155 yds.  They are 2 years old and I'm itching for new clubs even tho I don't need new clubs LOL.  The IM look like a better fit.  I'm trying to wait for them but don't know.  If the Kirkland are released sooner I don't know how much longer I can wait.  I'm a bit impulsive
