I play right handed so what’s your point?😂😂😂😂

If it works for you, that's all that matters. I looked at supporting Sub70, but they didn't have anything for me.

I got a set of wedges, a driving iron and 2 hybrids from Lazrus (Boise, ID), my irons from BGD (Coeur d'Alene, ID) and now entirely too much from Haywood (everything but the 100's).

I would love to rock a driver and fairways from someone other than a major OEM. I know my hard earned dollar goes further a smaller shops and that means more to me.

I can play poorly with just about any club. It just needs to be lefty. 🤣

@ Lefthack, I am left handed in most things but I started playing hockey when I was about five years old and held the hockey stick like all the other boys in my neighborhood, right hand low. So when I started playing baseball I held a baseball bat right handed also and then when I picked up a golf club when I was about 13 I held it right handed also. In the back of my mind I wish I would’ve started playing left-handed. I think about it more often than not. Anyway I’m 51 now and it’s too late to change I guess. I play OK right handed so that’s fine. I still throw a baseball left handed though. I guess if I win the lottery and could quit work and had a lot of free time I would also try to start playing left-handed just for fun.

I'm the same, yet different. I'm right handed but learned to switch hit in 6th grade. Being a goofy foot skater (right foot front) I just feel more comfortable on that side of the ball.

I took golf in college and mom ordered my clubs from Sears. I picked left thinking it was 50/50 maybe 60/40 RH/LH, not 93/7. 🤣

My starter set needed a sand wedge. I went to Nevada Bob's and learned just how lacking hardware was.

Around 1990, I won a prize package from a local radio station.  One of the prizes was a gift certificate for a local golf shop.  I didn't play golf then, had a friend who did, I gave him the certificate.  He is a lefty, and was looking for a SW.

I had no idea why his looking for a wedge was such a big deal, until I got into golf some 8 years later.

Ironically, the wedge he bought was a Ram Tom Watson Scoring System 60*.  It's ironic because I wound up being a big Ram guy, not remembering he got a Ram club until I actually played golf with him.

Got off track there a bit, sorry.  🙂

Had a set of Haywood signature irons. Good quality, great price, too much offset for me. Usually it doesn’t bother me but I had these for a month and could not get comfortable with them.

I then ordered a set of sub70 699 pro satin irons which have less offset and are a bit smaller clubhead. Great set and won’t be leaving my bag anytime soon. Forgiving, great feel, look great, great price. Lofts are slightly weaker than the Haywoods in the mid to short irons. Which is also better for my gapping.

Eh, I wouldn't worry about it. There are highly successful major-winning golfers playing opposite their natural handedness, so no point in changing now.

It's like skiing/snowboarding. I heard it described that for most people who were novice to intermediate skiers, that the learning curve of snowboarding would allow them to progress faster to being able to do the fun/advanced stuff that it would be worth switching. But for expert skiers, they were already capable of the fun stuff so there was no reason whatsoever to even attempt snowboarding. They'd spend months to years frustrated that they can't attack runs that they KNOW they can handle on skis, and to become an expert snowboarder has no added advantage over being an expert skier that they gain anything for their effort.

I've you've been playing golf for 37 years right-handed, you'd probably be happier taking those lottery winnings and honing your right-handed game than swapping to lefty just for fun. Trying to switch hands now would be frustrating because of how long it would take to even remotely approach your current game, much less improve on it.

Seems like Haywood offers more build options (including ordering heads-only, no grips, custom ferrules, etc) that I know Sub70 doesn't have on their web site. Sub70 (in their thread here) I believe has said that they don't sell heads-only or no-grips, although I think you can order grips in the box and unassembled.

Seems like Sub70 has a more complete club lineup in general. So there are more options, although how important that is depends on the player and whether those additional options matter. I personally liked having more options when I got my wedges, as I wanted a low bounce 60*. That would have been important for me if I'd gone with them for irons, because I would have preferred the less-offset 699 Pro to the 699. The Haywood Signature has offset numbers similar to the 699, and doesn't offer a lower-offset model.

I've worked with Sub70 for their demo program and then ordered my wedges from them, and their customer service was top notch. I had a very unique build and they hand-picked the lightest wedge heads at my request to help keep swing weight down. Granted I'm in the US, so I was working with their HQ rather than their local Canadian subsidiary, so I'm sure their customer service in Vancouver is top-notch, but they may not have as much flexibility and capability that the HQ does.

For me the ability to order iron heads only was huge. I use the Golf Pride Concept Helix grips and I have been using Kuro Kage iron shafts in all my stuff. I reshafted my BGD's but they were only $425 so it was like heads only.

I like the looks of the one lefty Sub70 has, but it isn't that different than my BGD's. I am very excited to get my Haywood CB's and MB's. They have the clean look I love.
