Congrats to LEXI for winning the LET tournament this week in NYC. Was hoping for more of a battle within the final group but happy she kept it together down the back nine. Seems brother Nick is a great caddy for her.  🏆  An All-Euro group won the team event (w/the exception of their amateur). Happy to see that, too, as it's a worthwhile trip for them.

I'm bummed the Aramco Team Series gets burried at midnight of TGC.  I really dig the format.  At least I could stream it.  But talk about zero coverage on social media, except for the little-followed Aramco Team Series instagram page.

One of my favorite social media golfers, Mac Boucher (canadian lefty who does some content with TXG) got to play with Brooke Henderson.

A Lim Kim and Yealimi Noh won with 6 skins and $47,000; Atthaya Thitikul and Pajaree Anannarukarn had 4 skins and $13,000.

I watched a bit of it, for some reason production thought it was a good idea to have the volume of the announcers 5x that of the ladies who were laughing and having fun, wish we could hear more of them - at least both teams have some nice spending money!

Yes, seems like they are having a blast playing..

I wish they have subtitle available for this, it would have been fun to watch..  I think announcers were bit surprised that Yealimi spoke very good Korean.

They had a long drive contest prior to the competition.. A Lim Kim won with 278 yard drive..

Indoor golf simulator is very popular in Korea..

Two of my favorites, both desperately need to win Majors.  2023 can't come soon enough:

Rory needs to win the Masters.  Lydia winning USWO at Pebble Beach next year would be cool.  Probably not possible to have a better champion at such venue (in the context of current active players / where people are reasonably likely to end up in the career standings).

I'm not greedy; but yes Lydia, please win 2023 USWO and KPMG!

Grant got her surname from a Scottish grandfather pro golfer who immigrated to Sweden.

Stark got hers because she comes from a family of nudists.

ok @Rapidcat was correct w.r.t. Linn Grant's Scottish Origins (timestamp ~5m17s)

... What are the odds that @Rapidcat is also correct w.r.t. origins of Maja Stark's family name?

You might like this "Round with Radar" with Linn Grant?

Funny how Grant and Stark are not Swedish surnames.

Another good tournament from a country that loves women's golf..

I'd expect large crowd for the tournament..

This is a definitive proof on how the talent of LPGA has improved over the last ten years:

How scoring on the LPGA has changed from top to bottom since Lydia Ko first won 10 years ago

“At all of these championships, the score for the cut is getting lower, the score to win is getting lower, and that’s why I said earlier if you have one OK round, that puts you so much further back compared to maybe before where that could have been OK, and you could have still won."

Or it could be that they keep shortening the par 5s. How many 450 yd par 5s do we see week in and week out?

Oh so much yes to this.

Example this last week with the longer hitters with mid irons for their 2nd into 15, a hole with no particular demons - so it is simply a par 4.

Just no. To get home in 2 should be a fairway for your approach or if less, a hole design with severe difficulty with a long iron/hybrid featuring a big miss penalty.

LPAT (and PGAT): falsifying golf.

2023 LPGA schedule is coming together, purse increases have been the common theme:

LPGA's LA Open moves to Palos Verdes in 2023, with Los Angeles events now held one month apart

"The DIO Implant LA Open is moving to Palos Verdes Golf Club in Los Angeles in 2023, the LPGA and Outlyr have announced. The event will be played March 30-April 2 and feature a field of 144 players and a purse of $1.75 million, up $250,000 from this year.

The LA Open was previously held at Wilshire Country Club in Los Angeles. Next year, Wilshire will host the new JM Eagle LA Championship April 27-30 with a $3 million purse, double last year’s winnings."

Looks like Jeeno will be #1 after Japan.

Yewon Lee (klpga) vaults to #40 after securing her 4th top 5 in 6 tries. Not bad for a rookie. Still looking for that elusive first W.

Jeeno will reach #1 with a solo third or better next week in Japan:

Can she pull that off? Ayaka Furue stepped off the plane and picked up a win a few weeks ago. It could turn up the intensity on a Japan/Thailand friendly rivalry.
