Wedgework SM9 T grind?

Anyone have any clue when these will be up on vokey.com?

I've tried getting an answer several times via Twitter or Instagram and even sent an email to Vokey but all I got back was a generic response of "we have a full calendar of releases lined up so be on the lookout for updates". 

 

I am also waiting for a T grind release and now kicking myself for having not just ordered another SM8 T last fall when I had the chance. My current one is getting pretty worn and I was hoping to have been able to get a new replacement before any tournaments started but right now it's not looking that way.

They’re up now. Went live this morning. Bought 2 just to have as back ups to my current

Just saw the email, didn't hesitate in ordering a new one! Though normally I play PX 6.0 in my wedges, had to order a 5.5 cause 6.0 wasn't an option. Got a few spare 6.0's lying around that I can swap it out with if need be.

Love it. Almost bought with the stock shaft but saw PX was no up charge so I went with the 7.0’s I already play with. Usually play the 7.0 8 iron shaft in my 60 so we’ll see how they build.

Can anyone compare how the T plays vs a low bounce K? I read the description on vokey website but would love to hear some first hand experience.

I have never played the low bounce K but have been using the T grind for the last year and half. My understanding and from what I see with the T grind, the T has a narrower sole/rear so when laid open it will sit flatter on the ground than the low bounce K. The T also has more heel and toe relief. From what I have heard the K is a very good bunker option and likely excels over the T in that department. Having said that, I have never really had any issues using the T grind from the bunker. 

 

I feel like I can pretty much hit any shot I want to with the T and open it up and flop it or cut under the ball from any lie without worry.

Probably will pick one up with flight lines. I prefer plated over raw and I can give my buddy my current one.

Man that is one pricey wedge, with very little of the custom options (or shipping for that matter) offered without an up charge. Is it that different of a grind?

I have a TW grind, played mg2 and now mg3. Can anyone touch on how these to would be different?

Just bought a 58T, though I have been happy with my TaylorMade MG3 wedges this year.

I have played both iterations over the past year. T grind will sit the closest to the ground from the standard position and will keep the leading edge super close as well when opened up. The T-grind wants to be opened up, like if you set it down on the ground, it wants to open up and shows it face more than the K. 

Low bounce K grind is about the same from standard position, but when you open it up, it will push the lead edge height up slightly. K grind is really good if you need help from the sand as the sole width and camber will really help glide through the sand. 

 

It all depends on what you need it for and if you use your 54/56 as well around the greens. 

 

That being said, I just changed my Wedgeworks order from low bounce K to T-grind they just released. It has been 7.5 weeks for me and I emailed them and changed the order. I guess another 10-12 weeks depending on supply chain constraints.

I added the semi square leading edge grind and tour grind, does anyone think this will affect the way it plays?

So I ordered a LB K 58 a week and a half ago. I have not even seen a confirmation email from Vokey yet?

There will be a stock 58 and 60 T-grind in the SM9 line for spring 2023.

As a replacement of the L or just added to the line up?
