Owned TSR2 since the pre-order last fall.  Picked it up in the same spec as my gamer TSi2 and learned quickly it was not a like for like replacement.  Sold the head and played TSi2 and dabbled with TSi3 through the winter

Tried TSR2 again, because the hype train convinced me I had missed out.  Same result, did not care for the feel and had a hard time spinning the toe ball enough to keep them in the air. Right back to TSi2 again...

Frustrated, I scheduled a fitting 2 hours away through a Titleist rep.  He was kind enough to walk me through how gains with anything would be minimal over my TSi2 since smash was consistently 1.48-1.50.  Walked away again a little flustered that I couldn't find an R to move into.

After getting home and looking over the Trackman data, one combo stood out.  TSR3 11 degrees, A1, Weight in T2.  6 shots that all averaged the same as my gamer, however not a single one crossed the left half of the fairway which is my biggest struggle off the tee.  Pulled the trigger, ordered the TSR3 and popped my Ventus TR Red into it when it showed up.

Two rounds in and I'm loving it.  Much better feel than TSi3, surprisingly more forgiving and an obvious upgrade in ball speed retention on my toe miss.  The sliding weight is magic for the person who fights a single miss at impact. Would've never guessed id end up in the 3 being a "2" player for the last 4-5 generations of Titleist drivers.

Good post.  I had a 9* trs3. Sold it when g430, then tsr2, now back to the tsr3 10*. Debating 8/9* head and shafts. Have the ventus tr 6s also. But still debating shaft and head.

Former paradym triple diamond user here. Just switched to TSR3. TSR3 is one of the best feeling drivers I have used. It seemed more forgiving and more consistently long…. And this is with the stock tensei 1K stiff shaft. I will be retiping my velocore TR blue soon and looking forward to seeing the difference.

The numbers I get with this driver was just absurd. Better feeling and more consistent (for me) than the TSR4 as well.

Can’t find the answer. How long is the stock shaft with adapter in a TSR2 Driver at 45.5? I want to play mine at 44.75” and my current shaft is 44” with adapter. I bought this club off the Bay. What should the final length be with adapter to play 44.75”? Thanks.

BTW, head weights 204 grams. Should end up at a good SW at 44.75”, correct? Don’t have a SW scale and an hour to any local golf shop.

What about TSR2 15* 3 wood shaft length? Want to cut that down too.

Driver head adds 1" of length, fairways 0.75"

Has anyone else noticed that the TSR3 woods whistle when you swing them? Got mine about a week ago and it sounds like a nerf football when I swing it...

The noise is coming from the way air hits the new weight track. When I put a piece of tape over the track the noise goes away. Club performs pretty well but can't get over the noise...

Were you ever able to fix this issue? Having the same problem with my TSR3 driver.

Unfortunately not really… ended up trading it in for a TSR2+

The recommendation I got from the place I bought it from was to put lead tape over the weight port, which I thought was pretty weak.

Hopefully this gets resolved when the new woods are released later this year

Recently got fitted for a driver and we started by finding a better shaft for my G425, which I like but knew the shaft wasn’t great for me. It was a great swing day for me too. After the first few swings with my driver, I told the fitter that he had his work cut out for him, because they were the best 5 swings in a row I have ever put on that driver shaft combo. Picked up consistent 10+yards with the new shaft with better spin, launch, consistency, and max distance. So then we started trying heads. When I got to the TSR2, I really liked what I felt and saw. It was actually the only other head I really liked.

The TSR2 looks smaller and the sound is  obviously much better than the Ping. I gained more ball speed, picked up a few yards, and actually gained a bit of consistency. We hit more balls with the TSR2 and still had a smaller shot circle, as they just followed the same line. Leaving the session, it was still tough to decide whether to drop that much money on the TSR and shaft, when just a shaft upgrade got most of the help.

Fast forward… I had to know…  I haven’t been able to find the shaft (found one for the Ping but the shaft is a little short), but did find a TSR2 with another shaft that I thought would still be a close fit for a good price. I have been putting them to the test and have now sold the Ping.

I am loving the TSR2. First, I love the more muted and consistent sound. Something about this combo really helps me find almost the same spot on the face every time too. I sprayed the heads to watch for face contact, and the TSR is always right in the same area, whereas the Ping seems to float around more.

Even with the slightly less optimal shaft, I am still seeing the TSR beat out the original Ping combo, and also the upgraded Ping combo. This baby is going nowhere! I am still hopeful that I might find the shaft I was fit for to see if I can improve just a bit more, but I am really glad I tried the TSR when I had 0 plans to upgrade my driver head.

My 3 wood and hybrids are really old and need some help, so I know one place I’ll be looking…
