I have used V1 Golf in the past but found it clunky and not a great UX. Following to see what recommendations people have.

I believe I have V1 on my smart phone, but have never used it. I miss the app (Movie Maker) that used to come with an older OS via Microsoft Essentials. With it, one could isolate individual frames, add lines, sound tracks, e.t.c. Nowadays, you need to pay for an app that does not work as well.

VirtualPro works well for me on my phone. I don't use it to record but rather just import videos I already have. You CAN record in-app I just don't want to vouch for that part since I don't use it.

What would yall wanna see in something like this?

There's a buncha new interesting AR capabilities in iOS15/16beta I've been wanting to do some stuff with. Not sure what's entirely possible (only done some trivial junk here and there) but it might be fun to hack some stuff together for a useful cause.

Movie Maker is a good program.

I agree. The only way to get it is to use an older operating system such as Windows 8 or 9 in order to get Microsoft essentials. There are offerings on ebay but I deem these to be boot-legged copies.

I have Movie Maker installed on Windows 10.  I don't remember doing it and that usually means it was too easy to remember.

I have no affiliation with this link and cannot vouch for it.  Use at your own risk.

Virtual pro on Android, basic, but does the job well.

Downfall is the compression.

Sorry to bump this older thread, but its the most recent one I found when searching.  I can't find this app in the android store.  Are you guys still using it?

OnForm.  Free version lets you store 10 swings on cloud storage.  Great for taking video on your phone at the range and review in detail later on larger screen like laptop or iPad.  Swing detection function works great and it edits your videos perfectly.  Full working swing drawing function. Can also compare side by side. All this for free

The free version doesn't do this, though. I've seen it work, though, and it's pretty good most of the time.

Mine doesn't, anyway, but I used the former app that became OnForm… (name escapes me at the moment).

Go into the settings and make sure you have auto detect turned on when you go to camera mode and that you have granted the app permission to use the microphone.  All you have to do the is aim the camera and hit some shots.  It automatically captures each shot and creates a separate video from just before takeaway to finish for each swing. It even denotes the start of takeaway and impact points on the replay control timeline.
