Without a sponsorship for balls, he will use the standard range balls that the site provides.  In this case, it looks like they are using ProV1's.

That's not really how range balls work on tour. Especially at major championships.

Just about every single ball a player uses is available for use on the range. A player simply tells those working at the range what ball they want. Not that this would ever happen, but if a Titleist staffer wanted to use Srixon balls on the range all he would have to do is ask for Srixon balls.

Bryson absolutely would have had the option to use Bridgestone balls if he wanted to.

True but why would he advertise for them? I mean like in the above post if he had a Bstone ball everyone would comment---- "Bryson is still using the B Stone ball and they dropped him this week hmmm must be a good ball"

Yeah he actively chose to use Titleist balls for a reason. Whether that is because he likes them better or he just wanted to stick it to Bridgestone who knows.

I was simply pointing out that just because you don't have a ball sponsor doesn't mean you get relegated to having to use the default range balls. You still have the choice of any ball you want.

Has not been 5 minutes ago I saw on one of my news feeds that he was still using the B Stone ball in the Open so who knows?

Maybe just testing because as other say, he's got every ball available right there at the range to test.

Would guess it's the left dot, since the number is black and the prov1 would probably not work as well for his speed and height.

Or maybe Titleist asked him to test a prototype

Interesting.  I would think if they dropped him, they would control what product he uses.  He did say he would continue to use the Bridgestone ball though.

because changing a ball that suddenly for a guy like Bryson  would leave a lot of uncertainty at an incredibly important tournament. Are other balls just as good? Sure, but he hasn't had time to do all of the absurd testing he's accustomed to.

but, maybe spite is worth more than that to him

Cant imagine any pro switching without adequate testing and they just dropped him this week. On the other hand, he might have been expecting and has been testing. Need to find pictures of him playing today. Inquiring minds want to know!

Especially a guy like him with his mental state. He could literally have a meltdown.

How can they tell him he cannot use their ball or any ball?

No longer sponsored by them.  They don't have to give him anything (free balls etc...) and/or likely have told him to remove their logo from his apparel and bag.  They can't stop him from using ball though.

Early in hand photos of the new GT2 models t the truck.  As soon as they show up on the range in player's bags we'll get some better from the top photos and hopefully some comparison photos against the last model.
