This is the issue I have with comparing gallery sizes and viewership numbers. It’s not a fair comparison compared to when both Tours began it’s journey. 

I will take HVIII quote that players are playing even harder on LIV than the PGAT because there is so much money on the table to win an it's so easy to be relagated or just dropped if you're outside the top 24. 

 

Heck Meronk got a slow play penalty in Jeddah which cost him $250,000. When is the last time the PGAT issued a slow play penalty. 

 

I'm not here to engage in a swordfight over both Tours but let's keep things in perspective. 

 

I just don't understand why those who hate LIV for whatever reason feels the need to regurgitate the same hateful comments, we get it you don't like it so just move on and watch what you enjoy instead of so much focus on something you don't like. 

 

It's like a person constantly driving by an ex's house and screaming how much you hate them. 

It's pathetic and you're not going to persuade anybody with your 1000 reason why LIV sucks.

There’s a lot more than 24 guys that don’t need to worry about relegation.  The contracted players are exempt.

How many people actually buy a ticket who otherwise wouldn't because they can hear some lame music during the tournament?  Probably zero.

Watching on the local CW station, there's a weather alert banner taking up the top 20% of the screen, the leaderboard on the left taking up another 20% and with the various scroll bars on the bottom and pop up graphics, maybe 40% of the screen used in the middle for actual golf.

Things I never cared about before LIV, nor after LIV; TV ratings. 

 

I'm just enjoying all sorts of different golf this weekend.  Playoff at The Travellers, seeing Hatton possibly win on LIV, then I'll be switching over to the KPMG event.

 

I played 18 holes this morning at 5:15am under a strawberry moon, and now I'm enjoying an orange margarita.

they have 1 win more than the rippers and crushers, but you do have a point that a team that was supposed to be just one guy is playing well above expectations.

Yeah, a team with one big dog, one stalwart tour player, a "nobody" who earned his way onto the league by playing well at "q-school" and a college kid who had to move out of his dorm room days before the first event.

One of the nice things about the teams, is there is some amount of parity.  There isn't one single team made up of like a group of top 20 players.  It is usually 1-2 good guys, then a couple field fillers.

 

If LIV managed to lure over some more top PGAT guys, they could really upset the team dynamic.  Imagine a new team of like Cantlay, Xander, Homa, and Finau.

Is there a Golf God in here?

 

If so...I have two reasonable requests if its not asking too much:

 

1)  Can you please get LIV to remove the putting projection/trajectory line they use?  It hides the ball and takes away the excitement of a hard putt going in because you can see the ball or the hole.   Its really really REALLY bad tv.

 

2) Can you please ask helicopters and drones to not hover over the course?  Especially loud helicopters.   It visibly upsets the players.   Today Rahm got upset at a drones noise.  Now...I like drone footage...but lets manage them a little better.   The helicopters, though....THEY HAVE TO GO

The whole operation has been around about 5 minutes in golf terms.
