What's going on with Su Oh? 7 missed cuts in a row.

Best wishes to Lauren Kim. Could she be a player that was just a few years before NIL(that championship Stanford certainly would have benefited)? And a season or so before Ladies LIV, which could have given her more LPGA opportunities and a more successful career?

My players are in cahoots... A few more to join eg Shibuno and we'll complete my retirement from LPGA golf viewership 😆... Go Hideki! 🤣

I got off the "Su Oh has potential" train a couple of season ago and I was on it for few years before that.  The thing about train is it just goes in circles and is never brought it home.

Dang! you beat me to the punch, I just got off  early this year -- or was it late last year, I can't remember (It's written here in the forum in the archives, somewhere -- too lazy to search LOL).. (see my previous post as I replied to the other one first before I scrolled down to yours!)

This tournament has an all-female announcing crew, & as expected way too much chatting!  I did enjoy Angela Stanford's comments though.  She is easy to listen to & might be another voice for future LPGA tournaments.

Agree.  Liked Angela's contributions.  Would love to be a member at Colonial and play in some money games with Angela.  Bank account would take a hit, but handicap likely drops proportionally.

Gonna be a fun shootout, if you go back 8 under 26 players have a shot but you'd need 62 or 61 from there IMO.  The proven winners at -10 and -11 are gonna be salivating, Lexi and Caroline let's say have a Sunday reputation and Lucy is still unproven at this level.

Will be very interesting to see how Lucy plays. Bogie free in her first two rounds, and only two today before rattling off five birdies. She's proven that she can win on the Epson. Can she step up on the big tour?

Gonna be a fun shootout indeed! It's not on YouTube in the UK and I don't have Golf Channel so either I follow the scores or wait to Monday and watch the condensed final round on YT. Hmmmmmm...

It's going to be really interesting to see who has enough ice in their blood to finish off in a cool and ruthless way! It's going to need a lot of focus and a very astute head under pressure.

I'm trying to figure if they are going out in 2's or 3's, they were making sound like 2's on the broadcast and I think  that puts Caroline with Lucy and I'm not sure that's good for Lucy and Lexi and Lydia are a very comfortable pairing.

Maybe its just me, but I dont think the announcing crew talking about how young lucy li started and has been around every hole is enough.

is there nothing else to talk about...

Just curious, but what makes you think Caroline is a bad pairing for Lucy? I kinda like that for her, not having a "superstar" as your partner has to take a little pressure off. I sure wouldn't want to play with Lexi or Lydia if I was hunting down my first win.

Lydia likes this course. She's probably chomping at the bit to erase her collapse a couple of seasons ago.

Caroline has a bad tendency to play poorly in the final round. I've seen plenty of players in the final group play down to the struggler in the group. Much rather see Lucy play with a hot final round player.

While sure she's better I consider her like my country women Alena Sharp.  Alena when she get into these position usually had a tough Sunday.  I find Caroline has the same issue when I see her here, some early bogies from playing partners make it tough IMO, especially if you're new to it.  But they're going off in 3's  so lexi there  give a buffer.  I doubt Lucy will be star struck she been in the spot since a young age herself.

I'd be worried about Sei Young Kim she's due for one of her stupid low rounds.  Nasa can also drop a low score to sneak out a tournament, she almost snaked the US Open Lexi blew but Yuka nip her in the playoff.

Although not as consistent, I wouldn't count Xiyu out either, 11th in scoring average and 5th in birdies, 6th gir. Janet can play.

We followed Leona Maguire, Xiyu Lin and Lauren Stephenson on their front nine today. Xiyu is very chatty and friendly. For the most part she walked with Leona and the had a friendly conversation, talking and laughing between shots. On several holes, Xiyu did the same with Lauren.

it surprised me to hear Xiyu’s English. She sounds like an American!

Me either, obviously Lexi is overdue and Caroline was my dark horse pick this week. I hope you have good mojo for them 👍

Oh wow the darkhorse with Caroline, I remembered Lexi and honestly if Lexi is leading on the back 9 I'll be cheering her to win, cause at this point the feeling I get watching her fall apart and blow a sure win is getting way too uncomfortable.

Honestly, I'll be rooting for Lexi over Caroline also. Although Caroline winning would be a pretty impressive dark horse pick for me.

Don't let the fanboys(me included) fool you, Su is not superstar material by any means. Me thinks theres a lot of girls out there who need a reality check, maybe a season on the Epson tour in hope's of contending or winning some events. A little spike in confidence.

To be fair, Su's been making an average of 400k on tour. She isn't one of the girls that needs a reality check or Epson. She won earlier this season in Australia so seems like the consensus thought was an LPGA victory was coming this season. Looking deeper into her results, she doesn't even have a top-20 this season.
