Caleb laughing all the way to the bank. The games I’ve watched he seems so casual out there. Still assumes some sucker GM gonna draft him 1 overall or really close to it, and he’s right. Sad but true 🤷🏼‍♂️

100%.  He’s gonna get paid by Chicago or some other down and out franchise who think they can change his attitude.  All the talent in the world but 0% heart.

Yeah could go one of two ways.

 

Hes still a young guy, he could see the light and understand that even though NFL QBs make huge 💰, they are all about their teammates. The front office looks good and hard at leadership ability. Even John Elway was a prima Donna coming out of college. Maybe CW can straighten his head out

 

If not, I wouldn’t be surprised if he sinks way down in the draft. Maybe he doesn’t even care. Just get his 200MM and whatever

After watching and listening to all this garbage, “wants part of the team” , “may not come out”, blah, blah, blah. It was refreshing to watch a small (and I mean rural America small) town high school game Friday’s night. Where the kids play because they love the game and they play for their friend and their school. Where the 5’4” 120lb kid was plowing right into anyone he could find!

 

Upper level athletics is quickly becoming a huge turn off for me. Although the Nebraska-Wisconsin volleyball game Saturday night was terrific.

NFL has a rookie salary cap. If Williams is drafted #1 overall his contract is maxed out at nearly $38-40/million over 4 years. All guaranteed. He just can't sign with anybody in the NFL for $200 million. That could be his second contract if he is great and performs.

I was thinking the same thing but was able to compute that @bscinstnct’s $200 million number was just another way of him saying “get his bag 💰” 😊

I actually didn’t even know lol so appreciate @grm24 there. He’s my friend!

 

Ok, so at “least” he can’t get the serious stupid money til he proves himself. I guy I can see teams who need a qb taking a shot. His sense of entitlement seems particularly egregious but I’m sure lots of these top rookies are a bit prima Donna. 
 

I guess we’ll see what he’s all about soon

Yeah, I’m pretty sure (correct me if I’m wrong @grm24) the rookie salary cap in the league came about after Ja’Mankus Russell “stole” millions from the Oak Raiders.

Jamarcus's contract was of the ones cited when the rookie salary cap eventually started in 2011. The last overall number 1 pick to cash is was Sam Bradford from Oklahoma. He signed a rookie deal that was 6 years for around 80 million in 2010. Around 60 million guaranted. Bradford signed some other big guaranteed money deal a few years later. Had made out big time.

Interesting to see if Notre Dame continues to be ranked head of Louisville ... The Cards have a better record, beat the Irish by 13 ... But lost big to a Pitt team Notre Dame is crushing ... But Louisville is crushing a Duke team Notre Dame struggled with.
