Titleist Irons in 2023

Recommended Posts

Hi all,

I really tried to find a thread on this, but couldn’t find one yet.

With the current T100 / T200 lineup and their release date in August 2021, I assume we can expect an update this summer? I’ve also noticed that T100 and T100s are currently on sale for $999 4-PW, which may be a sign of leaks coming? Does anyone know anything?

Any sales you see are the retailer trying unload supply.  No price drops by Titleist.  And next iron release is expected in late summer/early fall.

There are rumblings of a T400 release in January.   But that’s just internet speculation based on some unauthorized pics going around.

If Titleist continues to follow there 2 year cycle for iron releases, I would expect Tour seeding for the new iron's in June/July 2023 and public release September/October.

Judging by the i230 price hike, the 2023 T100s are are going to be pricey.

I can't see the current T line up getting replaced. What I would like to see (and have heard mentioned but ) is the 620 MB/CB getting some Miura Craftsman World treatment with more specific shapes- similar to what has become offered to the Pros (Adam Scott, JT, Webb Simpson, etc). I'd like a titleist iron that fits my eye, would be nice if they had more options available to the public for overall shapes. A blade is a blade, they are limited in what they can improve on.

T200 beats it in every way possible.

Disagree here, I’ve put the t200 4 utility in the attic and alternating the T100s 4 iron and the U500 depending on how I feel. The T200 is , but has a lack of feel and hollowness’s on slight mishits and neither the t100s or the u500 have. I will probably use mine 620CBs over the winter u500 bends well with them. A t100 size head with solid feel of the t100s would be ideal in a 3 or 4 iron. The u505 is an even uglier lump than the t200.

I’d imagine 2023 will see a major change to t200 and minor changes elsewhere.

Titleist used to offer custom grinds on the Tour Model irons and even the old DCI-B and DCI Black.  You could also get the Elk grind, Love grind etc that their staff players used.  I think they stopped offering grinds in the early 90's.  I wonder if their are enough craftsman out there who could do this again....I don't see it happening.

TGW just placed the T300's on sale.  Is there a new T300 on the horizon?

Irons are due next summer/fall to replace the current T Series.  The price drop is probably them clearing out inventory to make room for 2023 launches. There has been no official price drop on the irons by Titleist

I agree 100%.

Reason I bought T200 17' 2 iron and 4 iron to blend with T100s 5-W.   Why many Tour players that bag T100 irons quickly put T200s in the top of the bag.  Sole, minimal offset, lower spin thanks to internal design are far superior to other utilities, even better than my 718 T-MB 17' 2 iron, and it's fantastic off turf.

Shortage of craftsmen is probably part of the problem. A lot of retirements since the early 90’s. The overall market for blades has also gotten a lot smaller since then too.
