Dear Club Cameron Members and Friends;

For nearly two decades, Club Cameron has been a spirited community of avid golfers, brand fans and collectors who enjoy getting together for rounds of golf, shared friendships, and opportunities to enjoy special limited released items designed by Scotty Cameron exclusively for Club Cameron members. As this once-small community has grown, so has interest in Club Cameron membership and Scotty’s products.

To preserve the foundational ideals and intended purpose of Club Cameron, we’re rolling out some new ideas to encourage an inclusive community and fairer access to membership and members-only products.

A few notes for 2023:

  • We will release the 2023 membership kit later in January (TBD). All current members’ privileges will be extended until the 2023 membership kit is released.
  • We will not increase the quantity of memberships available but will take measures to ensure our membership is made available in as fair and equitable a manner as possible.
  • We will offer multiple opportunities to purchase memberships.
  • We will email current and past members when membership kits become available throughout our membership sign up/renewal period.
  • Membership will be restricted to no more than two memberships per household.
  • As a reminder, per our terms and conditions:
    • We reserve the right to cancel and refund duplicate Club Cameron memberships or memberships purchased by individuals for any reason, including those misrepresenting their identity or otherwise attempting to gain unfair access to excess memberships.
    • Club Cameron membership is non-transferable and may not be resold. Anyone involved in this activity (seller or buyer) is subject to membership cancelation without notice.
    • We reserve the right to cancel Club Cameron membership and privileges without notice if our terms are violated or if activity is undertaken in contradiction to the spirit of the Club Cameron program.

In the new year, we’re also going to introduce new ways to offer our Scotty Cameron Golf Gallery putters online. Please stay tuned for updates and thank you for your ongoing support!

Guys,  JT HAS gone back to the Newport II blade at Kapalua in Maui this week!

It halfway blew my mind. It is *not the new release Newport II OTR by any means and another poster was correct saying JT wouldn't play an OTR Scotty. Not that they aren't great, Pro's just always customize them or play a Circle T with access to whatever they want. To be honest, Putters like the current Newport II Scotty Sheffler uses are not that different from The OTR Special Select.

JT was using an old Circle T Newport II he got his freshman year in high school. Pretty cool he had a Circle T as a high schooler-but then again his dad was a head golf professional with a prodigy son! I think the last time JT said he had that exact Circle T in play was freshman year at Alabama. Its a Beauty. Titleist (Red) in the cavity.

No site dot Though.

Basically, JT says he brings it to pretty much every tournament he plays and messes around with it on the putting green or brings it on trips with the boys when he's playing a backup set of clubs. He's very familiar with it. He just said the blade freed him up and got his mind off technical putting thoughts.

Who knows if the old NP 2 Circle T will stick for JT, but as of the beginning of January 2023 at Kapalua Tournament Of Champs he's using it again! Pretty Cool.

Couldn’t agree with this more. I honestly don’t even look at Cameron putters anymore. They don’t look premium to me anymore and honestly the mallets look cheap. Not hating just not interested at all. Seen them all so many times. The tour putters look incredible but his retail line could use some serious freshening up.

I agree about the necks but besides that the phantom line and the new Timeless are simply retail phantoms and selects with engraved circle Ts and now scotty has studio select blanks for the hand stamped ones. But it's hard to make a argument about a cnc putter looking cheap though.

My Prediction on the new line?

We're getting 3 cherry bombs in the cavity. Shrug.

Cavity Cherry Bombs are not bad looking- they're just played out, ya know? Which makes them undesirable to many.

I truly believe SC has attached those three cherry bombs to his branding and will never move away from them. Fine, but I would Strongly Urge Mr. Cameron to relocate them. Thus Leaving the cavity open for other ideas.

My desire is something Simple! Mainly clean and classic like the older models. With a Touch of Fresh. For example, the Art Deco Inspired 2002 Studio Stainless with CAMERON in the cavity. His first OTR voyage using 303 Stainless. (Below image wrongly inserted a Carbon Steel Pro Platinum Mil-Spec Newport. Though, this is one Great Example of The Clean & Classic Early Cameron Aesthetic.)1208221307b.jpg.c069df1c0b18acf12cf4f8e6f1611894.jpg

I must say- This is one time I Sure would love to taste some Humble Pie and be completely wrong about the 3 dots in the cavity on the new Releases... Unfortunately, you know we're getting them!!      . . .

Heck, even if he just moved the three cherry bombs elsewhere besides the cavity, right? For example Below, my Mint Cameron Original Pro Platinum Mil Spec Circa 1999/2000. Where the dots ( cherry bombs) have been moved to the face.

Attached below are just a few pictures from my collection I've shared before. It's my belief they convey the Classic Clean Scotty look. The Simple Titleist in the cavity was used very often from the beginning OTR's until 2002. Several models like the original Tei3 had a different cavity.

Additionally, I believe it's time for Scotty to update the shaft bands we've seen on the Special Select & past OTR models.

They do nothing for me personally. In my opinion they are  Reminiscent of a large billboard on the shaft of your New Putter advertising his website scottycameron.com for further customization.

The last thing I want to do after paying for any New model Cameron is to be blasted with advertisement:

"CUSTOMIZE YOUR SPECIAL SELECT HERE! AT SCOTTYCAMERON.COM!"

Just the wrong spot for it in my opinion. Others May like it, and that's really okay with me. Variety is the spice of life.

Though is it even necessary? With the sheer amount of custom orders he gets i wouldn't think there's any customer who's unaware of his custom shop. Why advertise something everyone already knows- on the shaft of all places, eh? I'd like to see specs: Length, Loft, Lie, Head-Weight. Or much better, a shaft band like the old logos but design a modern logo.

But it's his company not mine. I'm certainly aware these are just my preferences, others will be different.

Yes, I've added quite a bunch of pictures. Because everyone likes to look at pictures of Camerons! It breaks up the monotony of all the Forum text.

What's y'all's opinion on the current shaft bands?

Preferences? You guy's prefer the old horizontal over-wrapped style or the newer vertical up and down.

I’m pretty much over the bombs.  If the new line has them, even if blank or blacked out, I’m out.  I’ve bought a lot of these OTR putters but the customer wants clean, industrial design, not logo madness.

haha logo madness. that sums it up pretty good.  the putters are great but when it comes to all the stuff he puts on them he should go with... "less is more"

I think the Brad Faxxon leak is probably it. A return to just three cherry bombs and the “Cameron” on the neck. Who cares what’s the on the front, all that matters is if he’ll offer top lines or sight dots. Not everyone wants alignment aids on the flange.

its why I moved to a Swag Handsome Too.

Eh, that putter looks to be easily mass produced with the types of stampings. Don’t know why it couldn’t be OTR.

Of course it can…… but Scottie doesn’t want to, he wants the site dot to be for his ‘tour’ offerings because it protects the values of current and future owners investments(this is my personal interpretation). The top line line, a recent offering on the jet setter range, is a token compromise(also a projection on my part).

Fair. Yeah if it’s the same bogus dots they used from the special select, then that new putter will be meeting a drill press very soon.

I concur, but it really shouldn’t/wouldn’t devalue his Tour offerings IMO so idk why SC seemingly thinks this way. Like a circle-t isn’t losing it’s value if he offered some different sight-lines options for his retail putters. That’s my opinion at least

Could at least offer a similar customization idea to Toulon’s garage, for an extra $100 or so (obviously I would prefer if we didn’t have to pay extra just for a sight-line, but i’m surprised this sort of thing doesn’t exist for SC)

Highly doubt it, that would cannibalize the Circle T market.

Any certainty we won't get the black finish on the new line like on the Jet Set putters? Scotty has rotated between misted stainless and black stainless on his stainless steel line of putters. Wouldn't surprise me to see the new line be black.

Definitely no certainty but I would be surprised only because Scotty wouldn't be able to charge a premium for black finishes for future limited releases without getting more creative with new head/neck designs. Having just paid over retail for a Jetset Newport I would also be incredibly salty 😂

They'll be on display at the PGA Merchandise Show in Orlando next week.  I'm sure someone will likely take pictures and post them.

Does he usually have his own booth or does he display out of the Titleist booth? He isn’t listed as having his own booth currently
