Am I the only one who’s disappointed that we’re getting the same face-stamp?

 

Like damn, could’ve used a smaller font at least. Idk if anyone feels similar, but I do not like how the “scotty cameron” takes up that much space on the face

 

I guess i’ll have to just get over it bc i need this Golo

Neck looks cool so does the face mill. Not a unique pattern but always looks cool. Nice grip.

 

Just why does the "Scotty Cameron" on the face need to be so obnoxiously large?? It's darn near to the sweet spot lol

Glad i’m not the only one that finds the face stamp obnoxiously large - my thoughts exactly. As far as I was concerned, that was the only thing that needed fixing and, well, it’s still here lol. Could’ve just decreased the font size, or gone vertical with the text, or something subtle like ‘SC’,’SS’, etc. But no.

 

But tbh i wasn’t expecting it to change after he put in the latest Phantom X lineup and limited releases

What an extremely disappointing release, haven’t been this underwhelmed in a Cameron release ever. At least the studio select will be on sale now! Time to grab one $100 off and spend the extra $ saved customizing it!

Interesting they used clips of Tour players in the promo video. There will be 0.0 of these used on Tour

 

A positive note is this continues to keep the value of my older Scotty putters high, as they continue to be yearned for

I mean, this release really isn’t bad compared to prior select releases. In fact, we’re probably getting more than normal in this release with the new ‘plus’ models. You say 0.0 will be using these putters but I’m willing to bet someone puts the Golo 6 in the bag at some point, if not already (with a circle-t stamp of course). And of course Tour players aren’t playing stock newports, wayyyy too many other circle-t blade options exist. That being said, Justin Thomas’ circle-t blade really is just a stock studio select newport2 - but with the circle-t stamp. Same can be said for many Tour staffers, but more-so those who use mallets

I loved the Special Select line and scooped an NP2 right away. The only thing I’d have changed is a sight dot option on the top line vs. the sight line on the flange. IMO it was the cleanest stock putter they’d released in years and I actually think it’s good to see that they didn’t f it up. Kinda like TSi3 - TSR3. New line looks great, will work great and will cost what a Scotty costs. No real need for Special Select users to change, but all the hate is kinda funny at this point.

The face milling looks pretty similar to the PLD milled line and Bettinardi which I like the feel of. Maybe slightly tighter.

Boooo! Honestly i hate the big scotty name on the face too. Geez its like we know what guy made the putter can you relax on blasting the name all over and soo big. Like scotty putters but kinda booooring. Plenty of other great putters out there fortunately.

Big fan of the GOLOs in the lineup. The headcover is too text heavy for my taste but to each his own. Can always grab one from the custom shop when it opens back up.

I’m guessing here. If I’m a tour player, SC is going to build me whatever I want. He can charge me whatever he wants. Or nothing. What SC gets is “expert” feedback and exposure that he may or may not apply to how he build something for the masses. What the player gets is exactly what works for his/her game. SC gets his personal “artistry” desires and business goals. 
 

It’s along the lines of any highly competitive sport. Everything is at a razor thin margin. The “advances” for the professional finally make their way to the masses. If you want an F1 car, buy it. But Honda will give you a paddle shifter if you think it makes you feel like an F1 driver. 

Anyway, people and toys are funny. It’s just golf.

How about a nod to some of the classics and a clean up of this entire line? Site dot, no dot, classic logos, etc.? And before I get forget, minimalist and clean means less text and fewer graphics/lines, not "no paint". Sigh, wash rinse repeat 😔

The left handed offerings from Scotty Cameron continue to baffle me. Completely understand not all models can be offered but the omission of basic/classics like the Newport itself are almost comical. Not even offering the Newport 2 “+” lefty is disappointing. I can’t understand why, with a limited number of models they can make left handed, they include both the Del Mar (basically a collector at this point) and the X12 (no comments needed).
