Any Scotty Cameron 2023 News?

Classy collection of putters this year, GoLo will be a huge hit! The font is better in my opinion, might try a plus model or the GoLo. I get people think they’re over hyped, or the same every year but honestly guys it’s not like they’re going to hand out circle T putters at retail. Love these

Disappointed in the deep milling more than anything. I have the GoLo N7 and was hoping to pick up a GoLo with a firmer feel like the current Select milling. Really no need to do that now.

Same here. I would LOVE to be able to buy a Newport 2 Plus or Newport Plus. But the 2.5 Plus is too much toe hang for me. Guess the new Ping PLD Anser D remains our only option for that style of milled putter.

I was huge fan of the 2020 Special Select Line.  In particular, I really liked the Flowback 5.5 head shape. I was an even bigger fan of the original Golo models. So much so, that I bought the MonoBlok 6.5.  At the time, it was my first ever Limited Release Scotty Cameron. To be honest, part of me feels like this release "devalues" the Limited Edition model I bought.  Don't get me wrong, I knew that historically limited releases are previews of future releases.  But now that I am looking at the Super Select Golo 6.5, I can't help but feel a little bothered.

 

I really, really like the new Pistolini Plus grip and may try to snag one for my MonoBlok 6.5 as the grip is my biggest issue with the MonoBlok 6.5 compared to the Special Select Flowback 5.5. With all that being said, knowing myself I will probably end buying the Golo 6.5 come May.

was hoping for a silver variation of the Newport 2 JetSet that was recently released with the top sightline vs. flange. that would have been an immediate buy.  oh well.

I would like Titleist for come out with another putter line that’s not Scotty Cameron.  Take this very nice shape, remove the bombs and put in script Titleist.  Remove all Cameron logos.  Although I want a black putter that’s not necessary.  More than anything I just want a clean Titleist putter like those I fell in love with 20 years ago.

I think it was more of a wish than an expectation.  If this release just had Titleist in the cavity instead of the bombs it would be a buy.

Haha, right. Black will never happen again, the market for black Putters is miniscule compared to those who want the traditional silver mist finish.

Why alienate the majority of your customers who have no option if the putter were black, when those who want black can have it refinished and pay Scotty what he wants more than anything...those Custom Shop dollars.

It's business first for Scotty now days the only customers he caters to are the ones who want to buy a Circle T or one-off

I wouldn’t say it’s minuscule.  You can offer it every 8-10 years.  Look at the used market prices on Scotty black putters.  I can’t find a good one under $700.  I’m buying a PLD black bladed putter if I get one this year.  Or…I wouldn’t mind stopping by the gallery but will they have a nice blade for sale, and how much will it cost me?

Tough scene. I am once again recommending that everyone consider a boutique putter maker because they use the same materials (or give you an option for materials), custom site dots, neck etc. And you'll have a custom putter for the same as a retail scotty or a limited release scotty on the high end.

Never will be. I took the red o away on my beach as well as the color dots on the sole. Looks so clean.

No. Unless you like the aesthetics. Performance wise I would say these are worse given the milling. I don’t know why everyone want a soft feeling putter, you have no distance control beyond 10 ft.

That’s just your personal preference and your own experience. If soft putters were really an issue like you suggest, I don’t think we’d see too many white hots or other soft putters on tour…but we do. And my distance control is better with soft putters so, again, it’s all personal. But let’s be realistic here: It’s a slightly deeper milling pattern on stainless steel, it’s still going to be firm, maybe just a touch less firm, but it’s not like the milling turned it into a white hot 😂

Having a few Mil Spec's and Studio stainless scotties in the collection, and having spent more to get a fully custom putter from one of the numerous brands who do this, its very difficult to see the appeal of the modern OTR scotties. An easy pass.

My issue exactly. I love the feel when I’m around 10-12 feet, but it gets tricky on the longer putts. No bueno.
