Recommend me another set...

I'm down to one set of irons now and need a back-up or two.  Please recommend a set.  Only specification are as follows in no particular order:

 

1. Rare

2. Profile is very similar to Miura CB-57 (Thin lines, Minimal offset)

3. Soft soft soft

 

Just some background, I've played the CB-57's for the longest time, but wore them out pretty good.  Switched most recently to the KM-700 and could not get comfortable with them.  Im now playing P7TW's which are very good, but want a JDM set as well.

I’m extremely partial To the Vega VDC-01 irons. Honestly some of the softest irons I’ve ever played outside of a set of Itobori irons I hit once.

I haven’t but had the mc-501’s for about 2 weeks and sold them.  The mc’s looked like blades but had a lot of offset to them.

Get some Miura MB’s or Miura “forged for” clubs. I think there are some Taylormade and Callaway forgings that Miura had back in the day.

Of course the model themselves arent rare... but if you find them in really nice condition thats rare.  Got lucky and found some in great shape on FB marketplace a year ago for only $175 (3-PW).  Love taking the odds or even numbers out with one wedge and a driver for an afternoon session once a month or so.  Super soft

None if these are “rare” like artisan rare but none of what you are describing above is to that level either, so I guess these fit? 🙂

FT-2 MB Will not come out until 2024 at the very earliest unfortunately. Confirmed by Fujimoto Korea when I was trying to order a custom wingback. They are no longer producing the ft-1 mb either… rarity going up. 
for the OP, if you think miura’s are soft, you will be overwhelmed by the vega’s and fujimoto. Miura’s feel hard after having both. I’ve had most of the Miura Giken and Miura global models, none compare to fujimoto from a feel standpoint or even statistically. The only one close was the tb-zero 99.3 pure. The artisan’s are also not worth it. They are being mass produced to Asia and are marketed as limited by the US company’s media, telling players they will be “called upon” when it is their time to buy(if you’re a previous customer)😂

 

another slept on set are the mizuno mp20 full copper limited. Have seen some sets going around 1k recently and the feel was amazing when I had them(not a mizuno fan at all)

Wow, I have never seen those Orion irons! Amazing look and marketing, king of want to buy… also second your Epon recommendation. Personal 2’s we’re money for me. The new personal irons look great as well but not too many reviews out there.

My apologies, you are correct. What I meant to say was CB’s not realizing the MB’s haven’t come out. But you can still get some MB’s they have to make them for you specifically and they take about 4-6 weeks if they aren’t backed up. (Let’s just say I know some people 😉)

Vega is excellent too, but I lean more towards Proto Concept and Fujimoto IMO.

You can always buy my Miura MC-501 in Raw Finish? The raw makes the strikes unbelievable. I also have a set of the same in Black. Both rare. The raw the rarest of the bunch. I have them listed currently 5-PW.

Reach out to Chip Usher and get a set of conforming groove Miura Giken cb 1006, wish I had kept mine- however, this is Golfwrx so, I didn’t.

Those really play very similarly to cb 57, in fact, bought mine because couldn’t find a suitable condition set of cb 57 at the time.

Those fujimoto have my attention, but never even heard of those to be honest.  I was also looking at some Kyoei from Corey Paul.   It so hard to pump out the money on irons that I've never touched or hit.   If anyone can compare kyoei feel to fujimoto please chime in.  I'm going to search for Fujimoto address pics now.  🙂
