I think the biggest takeaway was that he only started playing again 2 and a half months before Jeddah after 12 years off. And then he shot a 65 in the final round of his second start. I mean c'mon he might be one of the most naturally gifted golfers to ever pick up a club

I was in Dallas @ ten years ago where I heard from three separate people that AK was playing golf - fun golf at least but not tournament golf obviously. Ordinarily I wouldnt think anything of it but at that time the myth was still alive and well so we wanted to hear about what he had been up to - and those three people were Sean Toulon, Chris Como and Hank Haney.

 

So, if you honestly believe he didnt pick up clubs for 12 years until 3 months ago, I have some property I'd like to sell you.

Wish the interview dug more into his demons - he did say he had Achilles, spinal fusion, hand, and 3 shoulder surgeries. He has a beautiful family and seems steadfast on the right path. No details about the insurance settlement discussed. 

 

DF kind of went off the rails towards the end when he started probing about future Ryder cup and major possibilities 😂
