... Thanks fella's. Last time I hit the Ventus Red VeloCore in a Callaway driver at a fitting (and I was not swinging well that chilly day) it was juuuust a little too stiff in the tip. But on paper it should fit me well. I already have several TM shafts with adaptors so I figured if it still isn't working for me I can sell it. I will know after one round.

Coincidentally I was chatting w/an old timer at the gym a few weeks ago and Rodney came up. He told me he ran into him at the airport in Vegas many years ago. This guy went over to say hi and they ended up chatting for a bit. Said he was super down to earth and a joy.

When I was visiting my son last summer, I rented a set of TM SIM2 Max clubs at the course we played.  Wasn't too excited by the irons, but the driver and 3W were beasts!  Both were shafted with the Ventus Blue 5-R.  On a one off they were perfect for my swing!  That almost never happens...

... I must be a poser because my last several fittings the stock shafts fit me better than the upgrades or at least very close. That stock Ventus Blue is an excellent shaft for those that don't need the very tip stiff VeloCore.

... I am sure you know it ain't how fast you swing it's how you swing fast. At 93-94 mph a R Flex works best for my smooth swing while someone swinging 83-84 mph with a shorter hard hitting motion may do better with a S Flex.

Yes I've heard that. I'm 91 mph with a smooth tempo (and very quiet in transition)  so R is the correct choice for me as well.  I've always used regular flex in my driver shaft.

Renting clubs used to be the way I ultimately bought them. My driver is still one that I loved when playing as a rental when on a business trip where I also had a meeting with Dr. Green. I think it’s from 2010 and I had to find it online because it was already out of production when I bought it.

Nice pickup.  Looks good enough to eat, drive or make a 3 pointer with.  Guy should have set a "reserve" on it.
