I like all the warm and the green photos.  They actually made me think of you all on my home last evening.  The blowing snow even though it was well over 32 degrees really made me think about how lucky I was not having to worry about sun burn or heat stroke.

... I get that it is easy to criticize from the comfort of my living room but Game 1 seemed like a regular season game and the Suns missed too many easy shots. Last night they played like it was game 7 and what I would expect in a play off. Intense defense and they went to the line because they attacked the basket (not Ayton of course) and most importably the studs that are supposed to play well, played well. I would like to see Durant pass a little less and look to score more. Not doubled and getting the ball to the open man but trying to feed someone through a narrow opening and turning the ball over. 

... This was supposed to be an "easy" series for the Suns but I think it will probably go down to the wire.

... The photos are deceptive and Gary Panks the designer always has rather generous landing areas but slopes his fast hard fairways into the bunkers with high lips. Lots of good drives in the dead center will find a bunker and he either pinches in fairways to better player landing areas or has a slight dogleg and easy too hit through them and into the desert. And speaking of a desert, water only comes into play on 2 tee shots so that is a nice bonus too.  But with the fast hard fairways there are four par 4's were I use irons off the tee and a couple more of downwind.

That said, compared to some of the tree lined tee shots I have faced in other parts of the country and certainly your picture, there is a mental freedom that translates to freer swings for sure when not seeing a narrow tree lined fairway and what looks like open space forever even if it isn't.

Two of the schools are top 5 in the state in their division. 

I know 4 players in the field.

I am looking forward to taking in some of the action.

A great many of these young men will be collegiate golfers in a year or two.

I love it. It’s a looooong season, but Rays killin’ with super low payroll is impressive. Yankees only 2nd highest payroll in MLB… Might be time to step it up! 💰

78 here today and inland just 6 miles west of the waterway 80 to 82 For us the ocean breeze helps keep the temps lower

Up here in the Great White North it was cool enough to wear a tuque and three layers at 11:30 (high 30’s) but warmed up to a balmy 45*F by the afternoon in the sun. Last week we were in shorts. Tomorrow will be a bit warmer.

 

I played classics today and had an up and down round. Lots of pars, a triple and two doubles for 83. The course played long after two days of rain and a cool wind.

How long are hitting these clubs, and how long are you playing the course?

I was playing at about 5600 yards but with the conditions it played more like 6000. The 76 Wilson Staffs play very well but have traditional lofts (PW 52*) so you hit roughly two more clubs from todays jacked lofts.

 

In the cold, my 150 club was a 3 iron instead of 5. I normally hit my persimmon/ laminate drivers 200-210. Today 185-190 if I was lucky. I was hitting more woods off the fairway than usual. I for the most part played well.

So DMM played with Larry the Cable Guy today was it? Tomorrow I am also playing with someone famous from the world of entertainment. One of my best golf buds Charlie Daniels is coming up with a friend from South Carolina. They are super jazzed to be playing BFCC on a warm spring day. I hope my legs will be ready to go as I am not taking a L on my home track to a pair of out of state'rs.  😁

 

In the dead of winter I drive down to the upstate of South Carolina to golf. It is 6-7 degrees warmer down there in the flatlands.

Yesterday was the 18th of April. The Golf Gods dealt me a mighty nice hand. The weather combined with nature's beautiful renewal made for one glorious afternoon to be outside.

... Picture Upside down test. I took some Glamour Shots of Aguila today and still amazed it is so green with flowers everywhere. In the midst of the beauty I saw 4 Cowbirds attacking g a Roadrunner. After several gang attacks the Roadrunner killed one of them and started eating it right there. They are such vicious predators.
