I gotta say these idiots that think LOUD exploding M80's are a right on July 4th in a tightly packed neighborhood without a care about dogs or vets, usually start several days early and keep it up well past midnight. They were at it starting around 8pm when it's still light out but that said, I heard maybe 3 or 4 before July 4th so that's encouraging.

... Played the front in 1:40 minutes with 3 guys in their 80's and on #10 there were 2 groups waiting for another 4some on the tee. The back 9 was a c-r-a-w-l in 113* heat and took almost 2:45 minutes.

Bit more on this. I recall a video I think Peter Finch (maybe?) did with Pete Cowen - where he was talking about the grip being like twisting a towel. Though I think that was more about clubface awareness in the video.

 

That thought crept in without remembering where it came from till just now.

 

Oh yeah, smoked up a tri-tip and made some steak fries (and broccoli for Ms. aenemated) for dinner tonight. Then watched the last episode of the amazing Natasha Lyonne's "Poker Face." 

 

I love that wacky little broad. 

 

 

Russian Doll was great too; even if S2 got REALLY weird. 

 

The only thing is ... she looks pretty much exactly like the former Mrs. aenemated. 😂

60 years in the same spot, every pie crafted by the man himself. Guy was charging $4 and $5 bucks for a pretty small, plain slice, in a pretty out of the way spot, and there was a line out the door every day. RIP I heard he passed away last year and the quality isn’t the same.

They put time limit restrictions different jurisdictions around here. I really did not hear many around here last night of course I slept like a baby. My French Bulldog it does not bother in fact nothing really bothers him as long as me and the wife are around. LOL I am waiting on the local media report this morning on how many idiots blew off fingers etc last night. They had all the different restrictions on the local news the last few days. I got a good laugh out of it. They can not even enforce the serious laws on the books (like robbery and killing) how the hell are they going to enforce fireworks violations?

On a serious note I know a shell shocked veteran here who every 4th goes up to NC where fireworks are illegal. He has relatives that live in a rural area where there are not many if any at all. He drags his camper up there and stays a week or so

That was a 2005 (I think) Softail - bought it at the old Harley shop that used to be on Eastern here in Vegas in the OG days. Pretty sure it was still EVO back then. 

 

Put more miles on that bike than any other bike I've ever had. I barely even drove my car in them days!

Last bike I had was this old HD Bad Boy I bought as a total junker from some kid in Torrance for a couple grand back in 2015ish. Tore it all apart, rebuilt and repainted all in the parking lot of my old spot in Hollywood ... 

 

 

Man, I loved that bike. Sold it because riding in LA just wasn't fun. Too paranoid after I had to lay one down to avoid going high side when some idiot cut in front of me on Santa Monica Blvd and spent a night in the hospital. Swore I'd never ride again as long as  I lived in LA. 

 

I don't anymore so I've REALLY been considering buying another old junker and rebuilding it. Cuz that was a whole hell of a lot of fun.

Yeah it had gotten too dangerous to ride down here. Too many drunks and tourists plus old farts none paying attention. What I think took the wind out of my sails was in 2010 my cousin was sitting legally at a red light waiting to make a turn. A drunk touron literally ran him down. I rode for a couple of years after that. Now days it is a non issue with my medical condition My back will not take it plus I can not balance one. 2 years ago my late friend Little Bear had a brand new factory 3 wheeler what we call a "Geezer Glide"  I tried to ride it and even with the modern rear suspension my back would not take it plus hit a bump or 2 and I have to pee to put it frankly. If I had been able to ride it I would bought one
