Rory in Ventus Blue?

I could have sworn that on the first hole today Rory had what looks on my tv to be a Ventus blue in his 3 or 5 wood. Maybe it’s just the lighting? Did anyone else pick up on that?

I would guess that's just the lighting.  History would say, He is really comfortable with the Ventus Black profile and other shafts with a similar profile

Yeah I would agree it just seems like in the picture I posted you can see the black hosel in contrast to what looks like a blue shaft. Again, I agree it’s probably still the black but it sure as hell looks blue there

Pretty sure it was a Ventus TR blue on his fairway wood. He’s struggled recently with it so probably trying to find something.

If it’s indeed a black, I’ve made the same mistake after seeing pics online. The black really translates as blue in photos so easily under the right conditions.

It definitely had a blue hue to it on TV, made me double take. Possibly his blue shirt reflected off a bit as well. But I don't think TR at all so I'm assuming the same ol VBlack.

He did use the Tensei Blue 90TX in his 3 wood back in 2016/17 when transitioning out of Nike gear. I mean, he did use that Rombax P95 in his fairway woods for soooo many years.

Looking at it on the first tee just now it did look like the TR blue as he carried it 300+ with 177 ball speed. Geez man.

He also do played Diamana B-series in his fairways when that was launched ages ago so there is a mixed history of white/blue profiles in his fairways.

Which White profiles has he used much?  I think he played the Tesnei Pro White a little.  He had a long stretch with that Kuro Kage XT but that was a unique profile no?  Is the Fuji Black a White profile?

Yep you can put it in that category.  He did play Pro White for a while and went Ventus Black 6X.  He's been in Ventus black for some time now.   Maybe time to try something new he's been spraying it!

Good catch, you can slightly make out the "TR" logo on the shaft in another shot as well. 

He's definitely been searching in that 3w slot for awhile now. It would be interesting to hear from him what he's looking for because it's been a revolving door ever since the OG SIM 3w.

I stand corrected.  Looks like you were correct with the Ventus TR Blue.  Well done!
