Yes, Hye Jin has to be the favorite; because she'll play with Yealimi for two rounds.  Both Georgia Hall (-9) and Minami Katsu (-8) shot low rounds of the day when grouped with Yealimi.

AWNA throws a wrench into it all. Just gets so much coverage due to being the lead in to the masters. So I dont see the LPGA wanting to compete with that, it just seems like a detriment to their product especially when the AWNA gets a bunch of uninterrupted coverage on the back 9 sunday.

Yealimi birdied 3 of her final 4 holes.. the rest of the round 🗑️

 

Grace Kim -1 nice steady round. Her elite accuracy off the tee should do wonders in this wind where hitting fairways is a must! + She may be peeved missing out on that Intl Crown by fractional points!

I think I saw on IG that In Gee has a new clothing sponsor.  It did not appear that she is in Fair Liar duds today, so it appears that deal must be history.

I wouldn't be happy if I was Lotte, though, I'd want a solution to ensure a better field.

 

To me this event seems one of the nicer ones on tour and should be promotable with the right date slot.

Course Played tough. Not too many tournaments where the cut is over par. I don't recall ever seeing that many bunker shots from the featured groups. 

 

Interesting leaderboard. Nice mix of vets and newbies.

In Hawaii, if there's wind the course is hard and if there's no wind the course is easy, well for pros.  There's never in between, the wind decides everything lol.  If I'm not mistaken, they have used 3 different courses the last 5 years and they are all cookie cutter of the same thing, but you need the wind or this event end with winner at 25 under par.

You always know when it gets a little windy at an LPGA event, the WD's hit 3 or higher before rd 2 lol.

 

And Ingee used her WD last event so she gotta stay, no early flight for her lol.
