Yes, Hye Jin has to be the favorite; because she'll play with Yealimi for two rounds.  Both Georgia Hall (-9) and Minami Katsu (-8) shot low rounds of the day when grouped with Yealimi.

Unfortunately, GC's coverage ended before her bogey putt on 16, which she obviously must've missed.  Her shot from a fried egg lie in the greenside bunker just before that was actually the last one they showed.

 

(Edit: Of course, that meant we didn't see what happened with her on 17.)

thanks @imkirby34 Even the youtube highlights abruptly stopped after the 16th 

 

...albeit today i learnt that if you can't find the Highlights video for a specific player on the "LPGA" youtube channel ... it's worth also checking on the "LPGA_Korea" YT channel. (eg Hyo Joo Kim wasn't featured on the LPGA YT channel ...)

Same troubles w Gina Kim who finished +4 on final 3 holes but managed to make the cut on the #.  Both rewarded with early tee times today 🫤

I haven't seen 17 on the broadcast yet, but it's gotta be lined with hazards.  I've seen plenty of big # on that hole and when you make an 8, you've probably hit it into something a couple of times lol.

Brooke is tearing it up .. it's hers to lose. 

 

Rookie Bailey Tardy fired a 65 today, she's 4th on the LPGA in driving distance. She's one to keep an eye on, 3/3 top 5s to close the Epson and finished 2nd in Q school. Aged 26, she's flown under the radar. 

 

Let's see if my Grace Kim prediction holds up

Once again we have the makings of an exciting final round. New faces, multi-time winners, and old veterans in the hunt.

 

Yu Jin's short game was mediocre at best, but the chasers didn't really capitalize on it. The top 8 on the leaderboard shot no better than 70. 

 

Nice bounce back from Georgia after a poor start, but she too cooled off on the final stretch.

 

Grace has got to be motivated from barely missing out on the IC team. 

 

I think Angela is turning into a fine on-course commentator.

I think Angela's doing a good job too.  She's easy to listen to, and doesn't get caught up in the constant & annoying chatter of the others.

Well, the wind seems pretty consistent today, around 12-13 MPH from 12-6 pm, the gust will be around 15 MPH or a little higher as it goes through the day.  You'll have to pay attention and hit the ball solid, but the wind won't be crazy.  Should be a fun watch, can the youngins check their nerves on Sunday in the heat of the chase or will a vet a in any of the last groups post something to put on the pressure.

Will Georgia finally pull it off this week ? Both of her playing partners have never been in this moment on the LPGA although they do have winning experience world wide so I don't think they will be too phased.

I don't think you can take credit for her stupid decisions, a miss short putt will happen, it's Brooke lol.  She just making lots of lazy mistakes resulting in Bogeys and not really taking advantage of par 5's.

 

And selfishly players rarely win back-to-back, so unless things totally break her way because you never pass up a win, I will be hoping someone else pulls it off.  She's playing good enough tee to green, to put together under major conditions next week.

She picked up Colin Cann at the start of this season. 

 

I believe she went through a couple of different caddies late last season.
