2023 Hybrid recommendation

Looking at getting a 19 degree hybrid, looking for something long and forgiving. Right now I use a ping I20 hybrid and do love its versatile out of the rough and it gives me confidence pulling it whenever I am right to go for the green. I haven't hit any of the new hybrids yet, the Sirxon's zx5 II looked nice, wanted to see if anyone had any experience with that and whatever else you might have hit.

Ping G430 19*, Stealth2 19*, and Titleist TSR2 18* would be my recommendations! Those are all fairly forgiving and pretty long.

I’m very impressed by this year’s Callaway hybrids.

 

Really forgiving: Paradym X. If the size suits you, it’s incredibly easy to hit. 

 

My contenders: standard Paradym, Cobra Forged Tec, Mizuno STZ 230, Ping g430.

Picked up a G430 3 & 4 Hybrid and couldn't be happier. Very anti-left out of the box, strong flight, loads of forgiveness.

 

Smoke Red Hzrdus worked for me but YMMV

IMO the TSR look, feel and perform the best.

 

That said, I have the 2023 King Tec in the bag and it is a very solid hybrid. The only thing it doesn't like is shots low on the face, so if that's your miss, there are probably better options elsewhere.

Couldn't recommend the Cobra King Tec more, I replaced my 3 wood with it and couldn't be happier.

Hard to ignore the numbers the Sub 70 949x got in multiple different club shootouts from online publications.  And it's half the price of the others.

TEE C723 if you prefer more of an iron look or the E723 if a small wood look.

I was able to try the G430 today compared to the zx5 and it was a beast of a club. The zx5 was flight right around 200 while the ping easily had about 20 yards on it. I Tried one of the callaways but it was a 21 degree and was flying a little shorter than the ping.

I have this and like it very much. It was as good as anything else I tried last year.

I'm in the market for a new hybrid this year, and it's on the very short list.  Shaft options are fairly limited, but, there's only really 2 maybe 3 other competitors even worth considering it seems.

I hit the Paradym hybrids on a whim and they are crazy good. Paradym X is super forgiving and big if you like that size, regular Paradym is smaller also forgiving. Going to test them with other shafts and almost certainly going in the bag.

I've been eyeballing the srixon zx mkii. Not loving my ts2.

So far, my favorite I've tried is the G430. I've been thinking about pulling the trigger on one to replace my 7W on windy days ... I want one at 19 degrees, but think it sits a little closed. It's perfect on the flat -1 setting, so the route I've been thinking about going might be ordering one with a measured loft of 20 degrees.

Yes sir. Two full hybrid testing sessions and the standard Paradym is the standout. Really easy to hit. Powerful, high shots. I love the feel at impact. TSR2 emerged as my other favorite and I also liked the Mizuno STZ 230 but a Paradym 4 (21 degrees) is the choice. I also did not expect it but it was easy to see it’s a great fit for me. The fairway woods are beasts too.

I have a Z65 4 Hybrid...nothing has bumped it out of the bag.
