I don’t think it is,  when you look at the pictures it looks to be bigger than than t100 and somewhere in between t200 and t100 in size.  It may have the same lofts the t100s did but who knows.

The T150 is a renaming of the T100S.  I’ve confirmed this through sales reps as well as the Titleist Tour van.

Got to see the new T150 and it is basically the same look as the 718 AP2. It is definitely an improvement over T100S , if you were a fan of AP2 ,this is the perfect club for you.

Say what ? :classic_blink:

PGATSS has a couple of 5 irons of both T100 & T150. The T150 looks almost exactly like the T100 and last year's T100S; not even close to the 718 AP2.

The T150 has a very slightly larger cavity than the T100 and no doubt somewhat stronger lofts (just like the T100S had).

A direct replacement for the T100S.

Do y’all think the T150 is a true successor to the AP2? I’ve tried the current T-series and just can’t find anything that I love as much as my original AP2’s from ‘08. If the T150 will actually be a modern AP2, I’m pumped to say the least.

Maybe similar cosmetically, but CAD has taken internal design beyond.  IMO T150 is a different can of worms, like the T200 is different.

What's the same AP2 specs are the same as my 620 MBs & CB sets.

Stumbled across the T150 today at Golfmart - a bit weird that the demo club was a 5 iron, but it was sweet. Was about to pull the trigger on zx7,  but the feel and numbers I got from the T150 made me put the credit card back in my pocket for now. Hit the T100 alongside it, and the 150 inspired a bit more confidence without looking overly bulky (or really any different at address, to my eye)

I put the T100 and T150 side by side at address and they are very similar. The T150 is very slightly larger.  Like a mm or two here or there.  Def not particularly noticeable unless you have the heads right next to each other.  New line looks nice.

T100S were so confusing. T150 makes it seem like it's own iron rather than just "hot+delofted T100s" even though It seems that's essentially what they are. Still I like the look of the T150 much more than the T100 I think they're going to be way more popular

LOL

At least T100S was the same head lofted a couple(?) of degrees stronger.

You want confusing ? Try Ping G430 irons. As a "3" I figure you're not looking for that much forgiveness but as an old fart I need it.

I was considering the new G430 but they have them in regular, "power" spec, and "retro" spec, and, to make it worse, afaik, there are no markings on the clubs that tell you what loft "type" they're set to.

My G20s (2012) have a 45* PW, 36* 8 iron.

430 ? regular lofted PW is 41*, 8 iron 33*. Even "retro" PW is 41.5*, 8 iron 34.5*.

Sheesh,,,,,,,,,,,

I asked a couple of sellers on eBay what the lofts on their 430s were and they told me they had no clue. :classic_laugh:

I can’t seem to find them. Thanks

Don't believe Titleist will provide specs until the irons are released to the public. Or possibly shortly before.

Unless somebody's gotten ahold of the pre-release and measured, and then published the specs, which would likely annoy Titleist no end, you're unlikely to find them.

I would think it's pretty safe to assume they'll be very close to the previous T100S.

Thanks that is what I figured. I think some fitter have them now for fitting. Was hoping someone might have the lofts

I was at PGASS today and hit a ton of shots with each, could have done it all day.

the i230 is about a club shorter (comparing the 7 irons). Perfectly struck balls with the T150 feel better than the best ping strikes. Likely due to the forged style.

I would give the forgiveness edge to the i230, but it's closer that I thought it would be.

Take this for what its worth, as it was entirely off of a mat.

The T150 reminded me a lot of the JPX 923 Forged.

My main question is how it would perform on the grass. I hit the 923 great on a mat, but dug too much on the grass.

My brother has the i230 and those felt good on grass.

Trying to figure out if the Titleist would dig in a similar way to the 923.

I love my i230’s, however I bought them blind with no real fit. Just matched my prior fitting of 1/2” long and standard lie. I am going to a fitting on 8/9 to either dial in the Pings formally or make a move. I scheduled and confirmed the Titleist heads will be available.  I am leaning to the Pings but while I’m there I might as well get the full opinion of the fitter. I’m driving 3 hours as these fitters are well known. For all I know I may be leaving with some Tour Edges or Cobras.

I have not hit the t150s, but have hit the ping i230 and played the i210.  I think the pings are stellar clubs for low spin players, or those that don’t have 90+ mph 7 irons swing speed.

if you are high spin or high speed and spin, they are going to be shorter in comparison to most other irons in the same category.  Like a club shorter

I have the 714 AP2 and changed to the t100s.

I am not as sensative about irons I guess because I am

just fine with the t100s.

I did bend my 714s 2 deg strong around 2018 so there is that.

Also removed my PX LZs in my t100s in favor of normal PX.

I always find it takes me 3-4 rounds to get used to a new set

then after I don’t really think about it.

I have no desire to try the t150.

I think you nailed it. When I first saw the T150 the first thing I thought was this is the Titleist answer to the Ping i210 / i230. So many PGA PGA guys, and nearly all the LPGA Ping ladies play those irons. That formula works. Of course Titleist wants some of that action.

Just an FYI, Ping will put shaft labels stating Retro or Power spec on the shaft below the grip. Otherwise it'll be standard.  Of course the owner could always remove the label, although I don't why they would.
