Some of the guys I play with who fit this demographic have strong opinions on how many different course logos you can be sporting at one time. One end of the spectrum is “one is the only correct answer”. The other end is “as many as you can fit without looking like a NASCAR driver”.

Most of the guys I play with are CEO's, Presidents, Owners, a few Celebrities and MD/Surgeons.  The fortune 1000 guys still wear suites to board meetings, as I do, and to meetings with similar level people.  I wear Zanella slacks, sport coats, open collar starched shirt, and Ferragamo shoes to work, BOD and community meetings.  That's casual compared to how I used to dress.  I've only experienced a few clubs that require long pants on the course.  On the course, I wear Bermuda length Tommy Bahama shorts, Bugatchi Hendrix shirts, and sport socks clean white Sqairz shoes.  Most of my colleagues and friends have similar wardrobes, all depends on where they come from.

I didn't realize I had my own opinions about this until others brought it up. In general I think it just looks pretentious to be rocking multiple club logos on your body. Shirt or hat are fine but not at the same time. Headcovers and ball marker though, all fair game. Also, just my pet peeve, but if you're playing as a guest somewhere you should not be wearing the host club's logo. 

 

The only people wearing FJ apparel anymore are the 50+ members and the club pro. Despite their great color schemes and fabrics, FJ can NOT make a shirt that fits an average build man (or even slightly overweight) well. FJ shoes are still popular but have been surpassed by those offering better all-round comfort to those who walk. 

 

Our pro does a decent job rotating modern stuff through the shop recently. I see a lot of H&B, PM, and even Redvanly as of late. The Greg Norman, Straight Down, and other brands last about a week before they get moved to the clearance rack or back room. No one wants them.

Ben Hogan meticulously snipped the tailor and / or manufacturer's tag out of most if not all of his clothing.  Hogan wore very fine clothes, but he did not want to show off or cause offense.  This perspective might be worth considering.

Back when I dreamt about going on tour I swore I would be the only guy out there without a single logo on any of my clothing. I wouldn't have taken any sponsorship money, just big 1st place paydays.  Hahahahahaha...

After starting this thread I ended up *slightly* deviating and got some Cole Haan golf shoes rather than the stock FJs for no other reason than just to be different I suppose?

 

 

So far they are fairly comfortable and a massive style upgrade from my gray Cuater Money Maker shoes which look like old people orthopedic shoes. Also picked up some 7.5" inseam shorts which I am digging so far.
