2024 Bridgestone Balls?

Hey All!

 

Hopping on the train of new releases. Has anyone heard anything on a new B line from Bridgestone for the upcoming season? Last ones were released in 2022 and their site says a new one coming soon in the testing section.

Looks like it could be the new ball. Couldn't find markings like these for 2019 or 2021 edition.

Definitely a new stamping design that has not been used before at retail.

Man, a better Tour BX? For me I’m not sure how that’s possible, but I’m interested.

I think it could be a good duel between a new B X and new Chrome Tour X for next season.

@Bridgestone Golf Can you give us any insights on the new 2024 iteration of the B line ball?

Would be nice if it was back to being low spin like it was. Compared to new tp5x and left dash and chrome ls

I would figure something is coming out soon. Can't go too long without re-stamping the same product with new ink and marketing buzzwords! haha

In all seriousness, I plan to test the new ones against the usual suspects (ProV1, TP5, etc) as soon as they drop.

Bridgestone is usually pretty quiet about their new releases until the actual release date is announced.  I would expect a new Tour B series this spring on Bridgestone’s usual 2 year cycle for a new Tour Ball.  It’ll be interesting to watch and see if Tiger  tee’s up a new ball at the Hero WC.

Played this past Sat at our Local Muni course and the ball shelves are bare, we asked the Pro and he mentioned a few brands releasing new balls but said he had not heard anything on the Bridgestone balls? I was thinking maybe it's our area's rep that's lacking but maybe it's just Bridgestone being quite? Another reason I've been playing Titleist, the availability, every shop in the country has them and I would have given Bridgestone a try if he would have had a box in the Pro shop

I'm another one interested in hearing what Bridgestone releases and hopefully it's sooner than later as I like to buy balls in bulk at the end or start of the season.

Keeping my eye on this week to see if Tiger and Jason Day are playing something new. Seems to be a popular time for new stuff to show up on tour.

Hi Everyone, Its been awhile since I posted but I did see a tweet from Jonathan Wall and seen by Bridgestone saying that Jason Day is vetting an unreleased Bridgestone ball at Hero and he states that he's really dialled in with the final version after extensive testing.

 

I wouldn't at all be surprised if they release more info soon. I would think Tiger will probably go Tour B X during PNC and maybe have a ball with a little more spin come genesis but what I have seen of Tiger this week he is playing to remove the rust but so far looking very good for another go around.

Jason Day won the Grant Thornton playing the 2024 Tour BX . Bridgestone is now offering the opportunity to test the prototype.

Too bad it is only available to US residents.

Some guy from Bridgestone was on the Fred Couples show on Sirius XM very recently and Tiger will be playing the new ball (assuming BX) at the PNC this weekend and Freddy will be playing the new RX. He says it's a couple of yards longer but has better stopping power and better around the green.  Interestingly, the guy said they don't expect any increase in R & D or staffing to meet the requirements for the USGA/R&A insanity rule change. They come out with new balls on the even years anyway so they will have new balls in '28 anyway.

Maplehillgolf.com is selling 2 doz B XS or BX for $63 for 2 dozen. Looks like they are clearing out for a new ball.

Used the current XS this morning. Great feel, workable and stops better than anything else I have tried this year. New version will have to be exceptional.

Damn i'm the other way around, I loved the BX and the XS spun too much, but tried the RX and stuck to that the last few years (feels like forever). Certainly not as long off the drive, but love it on the 6-GW approaches through to putting.  But as it already has a significantly lower compression than the BX, if gets any softer i'll see if i can control the XS or go back up to X...  Who knows what the marketing spin will be this time around, will end up trying them all.

Hello - which was longest off the drive?  My issue is a dont have the SS so I stay in the RX world...

Prototype ‘24s
