New LAB DF 3 Putter Coming??

If they could get the DF3 to accept normal grips and not require a press grip it would really be a home run in my book, but I am most likely in on one of these either way. Wish they would drop some info on these. Santa has to know what is available @labgolf 😂

 

I have emailed them about this putter but no confirmation or info on the model yet so I'm afraid its further away from production than I was hoping.

I’ve got a DF2.1 that has the press pistol grip and I really like that. It feels much more like a normal grip and the tilt/press isn’t that noticeable. My only gripe is that it only comes in white and looks really dirty really quickly. 

 

 @labgolf - would LOVE if the press pistol was available in black. Would look a lot sharper. Love the shape though!

Really hoping this is the case, saw some photos of what looked like a new DF on this forum back in February. As I was customizing a MEZZ 1, saw under the head covers an option for DF 3.

Missed the mark with no notch in the back. I don’t want to have to bend over to pick up the ball.. 😂😂

Should be able to pickup the ball with that hole in the putter.

I hope that picture is correct in that the "T" alignment is the stock option. So easy to align the putter with that one. I will hold out until reports about the sound on these. I've tried 2 DF 2.1's in broomstick and armlock and 1 Mezz Max Broomstick, one of the DF 2.1's and the Mezz Max sounded like dinner bells. I couldn't handle the sound. The one DF 2.1 broomstick sounded great. I don't understand how the sound varies so much on the current line.

Yes. LAB themselves confirmed it will pick up a ball in the other thread.

I would bet the DF3 will be at the PGA show in January so I would look for all the info to come out then.  The proto version looks awesome though!

my guess is that you can also put the ball back there to hit putts (keeping your transition smooth). 

 

I'm kind of interested but I have 2 DF 2.1's already and i'm not sure I want to change.

Thing looks great. I love my original DF as well. I hope there is a heavy broomstick option. One of the things that drives me nuts about the LAB putters is that you cannot really easily add weight, and I like my long putter heads around 510-520g! 😁

Likely as most other models have a CB option. LAB may be the only putter company to offer all alternative putting method options for the vast majority of their line.

Word on the street is that the DF3 will launch 23-Jan-2024. Black color only. Any alignment marking or lie angle can be selected. All shaft options will be available but no broomstick or armlock will be available. I have no idea if there will be additional colors or if they'll be offered in broom/armlock in the future.

I called Club Champion yesterday to see about when they were starting fittings for it. They said they'd only heard of it through the normal internet rumors/leaked photos, but had no communication from LAB about it yet. My takeaway from that is it seems unlikely to be available this month, but hopefully i'm wrong.

If you signed up for L.A.B.'s LAB Rats email you have seen it by now. DF3 custom and stock now available for early access orders. All colors available - plus a a green one I haven't seen before - available for order. Looks sweet.

The link for the stock model in the email doesn't seem to work as far as being able to purchase yet. For me at least.
