Interesting find. I hope this is the smaller DF 2.1 looking proto that Greg photographed out on Tour. We need some info @labgolf

I doubt they get the mass and weight distribution they need without using at least some aluminum ... But we shall find out.

(And are any other Americans fascinated by how our English cousins pronounce "aluminum"?)

In a smaller head, maybe not if titanium faced.. or perhaps not if the main ball striking face was stainless steel with less dense materials in the rest of the body - i'm thinking of or hoping of something about the size of the old Cameron Futura - which i have and like, apart from the same aluminium face feel/sound issues. Or a brass/bronze face insert... anything 😉

There was a second prototype floating around somewhere that I preferred. If I recall correctly it had a PING Fetch style hole in the back. That was always a minor quibble with the DF2.1 - the scallop in the back for picking up balls doesn't work great, and with a broomstick it becomes even more difficult. 😁

With regards to material, I doubt it. I'd guess one design problem is that in order to use tungsten weights to lie angle balance the putters, the base material has to be light enough for the tungsten to have a significant effect. Not that I've done the math or anything, just a hunch. Overall weight with a steel block filled with 12 tungsten set screws might also be an issue for non-broomstickers.🤣

The DF 2.1 is so so good, my only complaint is how large it is in my golf bag (and no normal mallet covers fit it). If they could keep its top dog stability/forgiveness in a smaller package, I'd buy two. I do like the mezzes, but they're not the same.

I would love it if they did a steel face insert for this one. I love the feel of my Link, but I would be convinced to try this one!
