It's not a desert who's origin is in much dispute - unlike pavlova (Kiwis, it is Aussie no matter how much you claim it ).

 

She might have answered Black Forest cake (it is soo good) but even the origin of that is slightly disputed, with a Bonn (Swiss) chef claiming it way back and other euro countries having their variants.

 

Here it is:

 

Black Forest gateau consists of several layers of chocolate sponge cake sandwiched with whipped cream and cherries. It is decorated with additional whipped cream, maraschino cherries, and chocolate shavings. Sometimes sour cherries are used both between the layers and for decorating the top. Traditionally, the alcoholic Kirschwasser, a clear spirit made from sour cherries, is added to the cake. German law mandates that any dessert labeled Schwarzwälder Kirschtorte must have Kirschwasser.

 

I lived for awhile near this region.

Adidas hasnt really been her luck(y charm/brand)... She won the Open with Nike (and Beams) - and the majority of her Japan tour wins as well.  But I'm sure there's more $ (or Yen) in the brand with the 3 stripes 😆

Epson Tour begins this week, it looks to be stronger than ever with the new LPGA schedule being front loaded towards CME status over the priority list 21-45 Q school earlier on. Many of them won't even play until after the US Open.  What better way than to earn some $ and get a head start towards better status for next year by beating some scrubs. Many in the field just had a bad Q series.

Jen Chang looks to curb stomp the comp on Epson tour. Szeryk and Stephenson should also coast for the race for the card 10.  AP with an eagle! At least she can shoot her med scores here and get paid!
