What's wider than Nike shoes?

Recommended Posts

I've been wearing Nike golf shoes for long time but with my last pair they started to feel little tight in the toes. Since it was time for a new pair I ordered some in my size and half size up. My normal size feels tight again but half size up is too big. Walking around in them I can tell that my heel is just not snug. Can't see those being comfortable when playing and swinging. I could order some in wide size, but from trying on other brands wide is usually too wide.

What brands make their normal/regular width shoes slightly roomier than Nike in the toes? Been to Dicks but they had limited number of spiked shoes in my size and normal and wide to compare.

Hoping someone on here went through this before and can give some advice.

Ecco and New Balance have wider toe boxes.

Didn't know Nike are on narrow end.

I just sent back New Balance 997 too, same problem as Nike. I'm thinking of ordering them in wide, and also these Nike Victory Pro 3 I got but... I just need 1/16 or 3/32 more width to be ok 😄

No spikeless for me anymore. Slipped in those few times last season and going back to spiked

One thing to look at is also taking out the insole (if removeable) and trying it on again, if more space put in something very thin and should be good. I know many people say "well I gotta spend more money now" yeah but same with buying 5 pairs of shoes and getting no where.

Good idea, but I feel like that's opening another can of worms lol. Went through searching for insoles couple years when I decided to get something more supportive for my arches and got nowhere. Maybe I should just play in golf sandals 😁

I've always struggled getting a shoe wide enough without getting something too long. Asics and Mizuno make EEE and EEEE widths.  Excellent Golf shoes.  The only thing that could need something wider than the EEEE is a duck.

Initially bought the 4E's and for the first time in my life I had a shoe that was too wide. 3E's are perfect.

I used to only wear Nike shoes until the fit became too narrow.  As I aged, my foot went up a size from 13 to 14 and got a touch wider.  I wear a 14 medium.  I tried two pair of Footjoys but was not impressed.  The best fit for me has been with Puma, Under Armour, and New Balance.

Wow; I could have written this post.

I was a runner until about three years ago (I’m 71 now) and I ran in an Asics size 13 for over 30 years, mostly in Kayanos. But I now need a size 14, and anything built on a narrow last is agony for me.  When ASICS came out with a Kayano golf shoe, that was a happy day.
