Nice as these are, can't help but wonder if their appearance so soon after the matte black Whiteboards is an indicator that the response to the 20th anniversary shafts didn't get near the company's expectations.

I couldn’t really tell from Mitsubishi’s website — they make clear that these have the 1st Gen. EI profiles, but are they made using modern materials to achieve those EI profiles? Or are they exactly the same, materials and all, as the first Diamana shafts? 
 

@MITSUBISHI CHEMICAL is great about engaging on this forum, maybe they could clarify?

 

If these are the First Gen. Diamana EI profiles made with modern materials, I’d order the blueboard today.

Not having them in 83 weight is a crime. Best 3w shaft ever.

I have the new WB 63tx, switched from ventus black tr 6x. Absolutely love the new WB, feels nice and smooth. Flies a touch lower than vb for me and spin is still nice and controlled. Great shaft!!

 

These limited releases look cool, I had on og flowerband whiteboard. If it's essentially the WB with a throwback graphics I might have grabbed one of these just for the nostalgia lol

It's not the new WB shaft with the old graphics—just a limited release of the old white and blue.

I played the OG Blueboard 93x in my Bridgestone J40 430 driver at 44". I almost cried when I went to pull the shaft to put it in a new head and damaged the shaft. 

 

Still have my tour issued Taylormade V Steel 16.5 four wood with a 83x in it though.

I've always love the Blueboard too - from an 80S from Sellinger's in an Adams 9015D, to the flower band ion shaft in a Ping G10, a ZF too... but i'll just say that the current Kai'Li is fabulous too if you've always liked the blueboard.

 

The bonus is the the Kai'Li White and Red both still feel like a blueboard  - or very very close to it... i've had the Red in a 7 wood and use the White Kai'Li in one of my 10.5 deg 9015Ds... and the Blue is now in a new STG-440 to see if it'll replace the old legend.

I have the Kai'li Red in my TM Mini driver and had the Kai'li Blue in my Mizuno ST-G 220 driver and it is very smooth. Probably as close to the OG Blueboard feel as I can remember. I recently switched the Blue out for a Tensei AV White as it helps me keep spin down and makes it really fade bias which is what I am after with the Mizuno. Otherwise I really like the Kai'li Blue. Thinking about putting a Kai'li Blue 70TX in my 5 wood

So amazing! I still have the OG WB 73x that I throw in the TSi3 every so often...such a great shaft.
