With a couple of Anser 2s, an Anser, an Anser 3 and a Pal, my Ping collecting cap is well and truly doffed I reckon.

I know my place.

You sound like me by getting rid of the B60. I had 7 birds in a round with one of the Answer II ss models and then sold it about two weeks later. Bad thing was I managed to have 4 doubles and a bogey to shoot 74 that round. It was feast or famine that day.

I have had an "020" Anser in my bag since the mid 80's. Thankfully, over the years I have aquired over a dozen good backups. While the Anser is clearly my favorite, the Zing, Cushin and B-60 are close. I'll admit that I have strayed several times and played a Cameron, however, it never lasts long and I always revert back to the original. As far as I am concerned the feel and sound of these great putters will never be duplicated.

Scott,
This is my first post to this forum. I started playing golf in 1968 and my first set was H & B Powerbuilt Irons and Woods and a "whatever" putter. It didn't take me long to start taking the game seriously and, in 1970, bought the first set of Ping Irons and Woods. They were a plain set unlike the "Eyes" and "Eye 2's" and the rest that followed. They had no dot color coding on them but were definitely a revolutionary design at that time. With that set, I included a Ping Pal 2 BeCu. I used this putter for many years and never had reason to change. As do most, I did try other "newbies" as they came on the market including a number of Pings that I still have but always went back to the Ping Pal 2 BeCu. Although I'm from Western Mass. I worked in the Pro Shop of a fine Golf Resort in the mountains of North Georgia for eighteen years, I demoed many putters. At one point I did buy and use an Odyssey two ball and liked it and used it for a couple of years but just for kicks pulled out my old "go to" Ping and could not get over how much better I have putted and wonder, now, why I switched. The two ball was very much heavier than the Ping and didn't have nearly the feel or balance.
Anyway, I don't intend to switch to any other putter any time soon.
Neil

The 90’s remake of the Scottsdale Anser in BeNi is, IMO, one of the best feeling cast putter made. Love the looks of BeCu, but I think BeNi feels ever so slightly better.

Anser 4 SST

Anser 4 BeCu

My Echo Bronze

The My Echo was my "go to" putter for years. Picked it up about 15 years ago for $10. Have rotated both Anser 4's in and out of the bag. The Anser 4 BeCu is pristine and is set aside with my Eye 2+ BeCu irons. Putted all of last season with a Scotty. Have pretty well decided to begin this season with the Anser 4 SST and see if it will stay in the bag. If it hiccups, the old My Echo will go back in. The Scotty is beauty defined. Beauty does not necessarily relate to the number of putts made. The old My Echo is certainly not one of Karsten's most attractive designs. It feels solid and it makes putts.
