Your buddy is wearing the same shirt.

What do you guys do when you show up to the course and you meet your buddy and he's wearing the same shirt you are, or the exact same color?

Does anyone else feel a little awkward twinkle in the toes? do you get pissed? or is it not a big deal.

I always carry an extra shirt in the car in case this happens. Am I too anal? Discuss...

Too anal. Have fun with it and tell people you're a team. You always dress in matching uniform because you find it helps sync your competitive level of play or something.

It's no big deal, just a shirt. Nothing to worry about. If anything, if anyone cares it could provide a good laugh and a fun story.

If that's the biggest thing you've got to worry about, then I'd like to be you Seriously, it's not a biggie.

We have a large group of 8 that play in a tournament every year where one of the registration prizes is a very very nice Antiqua shirt. There have been several times where we've shown up for casual rounds wear two of us are wearing the same shirt from the tournament, we just laugh about it.

I am amazed this is even an issue. Yet alone an issue large enough to warrant bringing along an extra shirt just in case...

 

So, if you and your friend both show up with a light blue shirt on, you'll go to your car and change?

 

What if your backup shirt is red and the next guy in your group shows up in a red shirt? Got a back up for the back up? (Now that would be anal)

 

Then, what if it begins to rain.........

perfect solution. no ones going to think any less of you or think that it was intentional just play it off. you going and changing your shirt will make it a big deal

The only time this has been an issue was one day I met my wife at the range and we were both wearing maroon shrits and khaki shorts. I just didn't want to be seen as "that couple" that matches when they go out, lol.

This is SOOO much worse than wearing the same shirt as a golfing buddy. I would definitely buy a new shirt, no matter the cost.

We usually don't say anything at all if this happens...but, in case others are watching/wondering, we be sure to give a nice sports pat on the rear after the first tee shot and hold hands as we walk down the first fairway.


In all seriousness, his happens infrequently, and when it does, its no biggie.

My son and I do it all the time, right down to the shorts! Saturday we were both wearing a green shirt and black shorts, just laugh and go on, a few years back he is in Vegas and buys a new pair of sneekers, I purchase the same pair the same weekend 2000 miles apart!
