I am looking at the top veiw of the Sydney and it reminds me of a Rorschach ink blot test. The first thing I think of is female genitalia. Sorry.

sweet wavy slant neck on the 3! 2 looks great. long neck on 5 is AWESOME! grip is really cool too. Still want to see it in person at address. agree: wish the bumpers were a little more distinctive (round v. square). Great pics, thanks.

I'd give $300 for a Ping putter well before I would for a SC putter any day. This line will be huge!

Anyone know of any big differences between these and the redwood anser? These weigh 10 grams more and have more options for neck styling leading to different toe hang if desired. Anything else? I was just about ready to place my order for a redwood, but now I'm not sure.

I have seen the Anser in the flesh already and here are my comments:

-It is stainless steel, magnets don't stick to it

-The Anser 1 has a near identical profile to the Redwood Anser - most likely same factory with different graphics

-The "milling lines" are not indicators of where the machine would "cut" the metal, but more like straight lines that are for decorative purposes so I highly doubt if these were carved from a block of steel from scracth

-The finish is the lightest I have seen in a stainless putter, it is like getting the ghosted look without having to deal with the lousy white paint so it is really a good thing

-It is basically the Redwood Anser look, with different graphics, more models to choose from, and a different finish. Same profile, sam materials, same feel

Pretty solid offering from PING but no way they can price this $300. The should put this in the $229 to $249 range and they will be fine.

The finish is what bothers me. Torn and frustrated now. Really want a Redwood Anser but prefer a mid-slant type of neck. I can get that with this line but MUCH prefer the black nickel finish on the Redwood. Just personal preference.
