If you are ever in Sedona, AZ try out Oak Creek Brewery. Great micro-brewed beer for sure. My usual though would be Harpoon IPA, also love me some Red Hook ESB or Longhammer IPA.

Picked up the Founders black IPA yesterday and it is delicious. It was my first black IPA so I didn't know what to expect. I will be returning for more today.

I really like black IPA's. Founders black is really good. Shorts Bludgeon Yer Eye and Goodnight Bodaciois are also very good. My favorite is Firestone Walker Wookey Jack.

I was ruined a long time ago. I spent 8 years in Germany, there is nothing in this country that will compare with some of the local German brews that I was drinking. I mean what can you say about a case of bier that is only 20 bottles, of course each bottle is over 20 oz

We had one brewery that when they capped their bier, they dropped a shot of pure grain alcohol in the bottle. Let me tell you drink a couple of them and see how well you walk.

The other great thing was no preservatives in the bier over there, so no nasty hang overs the next day, at least I never suffered from any hangovers.

Give me German brew any time. I have also drank in Korea, Greece, most of the countries in central and south america, nothing comes close to the Germans.

Final thought, I was born in a suburb of Milwaukie, Wisconsin so I have toured a number of breweries.

I have had Hottenroth and Mischief. Both were good. I liked Hottenroth a bit better. They were two of the cheapest offerings from the Bruery. I will eventually try everything they offer but 2 at a time with those prices is plenty.

Well I figured I'd post about my beverage I enjoyed last night. Was lucky to have a buddy deliver one bottle of Zombie Dust to me from Chicago. Wow is it delicious and absolutely lives up to all the hype.

I would kill to be able to have access to their beers. I have also had dreadnaught and panzer wolf but no distribution in Michigan.

Been drinkin some good stuff lately!

Flipside Red from Sierra Nevada is pretty good, and Narwhal is back out and good as last year..

Green Flash has a Triple IPA out called Green Bullet that is really good with some good fruity NZ hops.

Got a bunch of bottles of Marshal Zhukov again this year from Cigar City, and it's drinking fantastic fresh.

Picked up a few Pumpkin beers, like Heavy Seas Greater Pumpkin, which is aged in bourbon barrels.

Then FBS is back out and man I missed it, drinking good fresh as always. I'm ready for the Harvest and Fresh hop ales coming out now!!

I was at Founders this time last year, and managed to get Harvest and FBS on tap at the brewery and it was fantastic.. So fantastic, I was in town for just one night and managed to go there twice, as well as HopCats.

DO NOT LEAVE without trying Oddsides Citra Pale Ale. It's so damn good... I wish I had known about them when I was up there and would have gone to their little brewery. I had a CPA at HopCats and, loved it.. Had 4 of them that night!

I'm not a New Holland fan, so I'd head over to Bells myself and skip New Holland.

Renting a cabin in Grand Haven so not driving to Bells, been there many times and the Kalamazoo beer exchange is an awesome bar. As far as new Holland goes I really want to try the bourbon they age in the dragons milk barells. I also am not a huge fan of anything beer from them outside of dragon's milk but a tour with free samples of a brewery and distillery for $10 seems worth it.

FBS drinks just fine from last year right now. Cracked open a couple the other night. Heck I have KBS from 5 years ago and is still in my cellar and I'm sure is going to be great when I open it. I make sure to stock up on FBS once Feb hits and I know I'll be looking for some before Nov. Last year I had a sixtel of it on tap at my house (as a "house warming" gift my brothers ran a sixtel kegerator from a closet through the wall using a decorative wall piece of my wifes as a tap handle). We just tapped Dorado yesterday which I haven't had in such a long time and I miss.

I love both of those beers. I recently had Shorts Pan Galatic Gargle Blaster and Stone Enjoy By. I really liked both of them but Enjoy By is one of the better beers I have had in a while.

I'm not a huge New Holland fan, but Dragon's Milk is a fantastic barrel-aged stout (and one of the few you can get year-round). Be sure to give it a go on draft.

It seems like seasonals are coming out earlier and earlier anymore. It's not even Halloween, yet you can hardly find pumpkin beers around here. However, I got six packs of Mad Elf and 2XMAS today, and I had a Frosted Frog last week.

Speaking of hard to find pumpkin beers, in my area, Hoppin Frog Double Pumpkin and Dogfish Head Punkin Ale were impossible to find after August. Pumking is still in a few stores and that used to be the one that was impossible to find two weeks after the release date.

Yes I did. Holiday Market had it but I'm sure they are out too. It should hit Wayne county tomorrow. Maybe try Beer Baron in Livonia.
