Luckily I got a four pack from wine palace today and picked up two more at beer baron. Couldn't get out of the office Wednesday, troy claws on border, and by lunch today all were out.

Side note have you been to the store below the wine bar on main street next to the train tracks? Their prices are really good on craft beer.

If any of you are in Nebraska I just had an excellent beer at my club. We have 1 store down here in Overland Park, KS selling this beer, thankfully the club had it. It is called Thunderhead brewing company Cornstalker Dark Wheat. Great dark beer!

Picked up some Shorts Evil Urges and its really good. Belgin strong ale at 9%. Similar taste to breakfast stout with a lot of coffee up front but a much lighter drink.

Also some award winning goodness from Bayou Teche is also highly recommended. [url="http://bayoutechebrewing.com/"]http://bayoutechebrewing.com/[/url] My favorites: LA31 Pale Ale, LA31 Biere Noir, Acadie and Saison D'Ecrevisses. The Pale Ale and Saison D'Ecrevisses are perfect with boiled crawfish.

Just got back in town from making the pilgrimage to Waterbury for a couple cases of Heady Topper! Also dropped by Hill Farmstead and got my hands on some Lawsons while up there. Big score.

Been killing the Marin breakout stout and IpA, probably should really cut back lol.

Clown Shoes Crunkle Sam dry hopped barley wine ale was awesome, I'm gonna pick up some more of that!

Breckinridge did a nice tap takeover recently, good stuff all around especially the pistachio porter they had on cask, drank as many as I could!

Half Acre, Pipeworks, Revolution, Founders and Three Floyd's Breweries are a few I'd recommend. It depends what type of beer you like as to what she should pick up for you. If she can get Zombie Dust from Three Floyd's then I'd recommend that. Goose Island just released their Bourbon County line. There is a coconut version that is only available in the Chicago area. That would be awesome to get.

I'm not real familiar with what the Chicago breweries have as their easily available beers. You would have to check out their websites. I do know that Founders Breakfast Stout is easily accessible this time of year and is an awesome beer.

I picked up a bottle but I haven't tried it yet. The reviews seem to be pretty good from what I have read. It's not my favorite style of beer but i usually give founders the benefit of the doubt. Unless it's as spicy beer. I don't like spicy beers. I'm going out to Founders next week so I'm hoping to have it on tap. One thing I have heard is that Sweet Repute is a little hot. I might let it age for a while before opening it. I'll see how it taste fresh on tap and then make that decision.

Yeah I passed on it. $25 for a bomber is steep. Been really liking some Lagunitas brown shugga lately.

Nice haul. Moo Hoo and sweet baby Jesus are a couple I've wanted to try. Breakfast Stout is one of my favorites for he cold weather.

Yeah I always thought my place was kinda high on price but $10 a bottle is a bit much. I can't complain too much since they hold me a bottle of everything. But a man has to draw a line sometimes and $25 was it.

I just happened in to another 12pk of Heady Topper and I've got 6 left from my last case. If anyone is interested in trading out for a 4pk I'd be willing to send out the fresh juice to let some other WRXers try some. Always down for ZD, Pliny, etc. Anything fresh may peak my interest even the new Terrapin releases.

I've been knockin back a bunch of Jai Alai, and some scotch ales.. Backwoods, and even the Pilgrims Dole wheatwine.. tasty!
