I'm up to 5, but only because I dropped the utility wedge and picked up a 3-wood for tight tee shots... probably won't carry the 3-wood on more open courses, but it's handy on 2 tee shots per 9 at my home course.

Take it a step further, do you leave them on throughout the round? I do, as some of guys I play with they come off, and are in basket on cart for the whole round...the sound of them bouncing around makes me cringe

I keep mine on the whole time unless I’m using that club. The sound of metal woods and putters clanging around drives me absolutely crazy and I have no idea how anyone can let it happen with their equipment.

I personally do not like more than 2 head covers, being driver and a wood, I do not like the look for 3+ head covers that I will not get a 5 wood bc of this. dumb I know.

I may as well leave the cover off the hybrid, as it is beat up and probably doesn't need the protection anymore. But it is still on there.

Well.... Just three here. Driver, 3wood, and Hybrid. Sometimes I drop the hybrid and add a wedge. But, most if the time it's three.

One. It’s on my 3w, and it prevents the driver and hybrid from clanging. I had one on my putter but it’s too much hassle, so when I finally lost it I was liberated.

Well, I'm back to 14.

 

When I posted a year ago I had an Ogio Silencer and didn't need iron covers to prevent chatter (the noise, not the dings). After only 6 months of use with standard size grips, 5-6 of the slots in the bag lost their grip. I rode it out until closer to the end of the warranty period, but by then there were no more Silencers in stock for replacement and I'd be out of warranty by the time the 2018 colors were available. After going back to a traditional divider bag (a Wood-E Shredder Stand and now a 14-Way OZone Cart) I just couldn't stand the sound made by irons chattering against each other when riding, so I went back to iron covers.

 

I'm not terribly concerned about dings/dents, but the noise really drives me nuts to the point I don't mind using iron covers and would do so even if they were cast.
