Jack Nicklaus WITB Pics hot off the press. Here are some great shots this week from the PNC Father, Son or Daughter Tournament. As we get news we will fill in the blanks for the missing info.

Nice catch. Why two different sets of headcovers? If he was trying to hide the RBZ or just promote his own line with the JN headcovers, wouldn't there just be one set?

Ha! I noticed that too. Tiny old school blades aren’t exactly the set for a 72 year old either. I guess you can’t teach an old dog new tricks!


Did anyone else notice the EXTREMELY old school fairway wood?

If I remember the original post of photos...Jack was on the tee with a black driver and son Gary had the TM. I think both of them had JNP blades but Gary had the TM woods. So the photos in this thread are photos from both Jack's and Gary's bags.

Yes. Gary's playing the TM RBZ and jack was playing a Nicklaus driver (glued head)

Both were playing the same irons

Gary's in the carry bag & Jack's in the staff bag

those irons look the same at first, but if you look close you will notice they seem to be totally different cog models.

gary's irons look to have a wider sole and lower cog

jack's irons look like classic musclebacks w/ high cog and flatter soles

Jack's clubs look like the same head style as the Muirfields, Garys look more like Australian blades to my eye.
That old school wood in Gary's bag looks like an old Air Max fairway wood from about 10 years ago.
Gary's bag looks like it has some sort of 60* wedge, I am pretty sure Jack never carried more than a 56 or 57-ish SW and PW, always a two wedge guy but his PW probably has about 49 or 50*.

Looks like Jack probably has a 3-p, SW, Putter and 4 woods, probably a D,3,5,7.

Irons look awesome. Are they still sold anywhere?

He may be 72 years old, Today I watched him carry his 4-iron around 200yds on a replay of the father son tourny today. So he must still have some speed especially compared to average 72 year old, I play wif a couple older guys every once and awhile and they would love to carry their Driver 200+yds, let alone a 4iron. He must still swing his driver in the mid to upper 90's when he is swinging well. His old school blade design from back in his hey day doesn't look much different. Love the clean look of blades.

Some kind of Mizuno long iron/hybrid in the bag this year.

In 1983, a friend received a set of MacGregor Jack Nicklaus "Personal Model" irons that were made for him.

The one item really special to note about them, is they were Left Handed.

Nothing surprising in the fact the irons are also 1-SW.....and are in mint condition.

And at 73, Jack still plays this style blade.... His 74th Birthday is in January.

That's definitely a Nicklaus fairway wood. I'm almost positive that's an Nicklaus Airmax wood.

JNP I gather they are Jack Nicklaus Personal irons. It's tough to give up a blade and an ole grooved swing is a true swing - IMHO.

The man who can play with anything, literally.....has beat up irons, a rather plain looking putter, traditional wedges, glued woods, and some old school stuff mixed in.
