Dude, of course they will. TM needs the viewer to KNOW it's not last year's driver. That this one is so good EVEN ALL THE PRO'S SWITCHED!! OMG! There will be 50 in play every weekend on TV, and the consumer will flock to the store to buy it.

They can do that without the graphics. Focus the marketing on the sole of the club instead, showing the "compass". Also, the shaft is different and the shape of the head is different too. There is so much ways to show that this is the new generation without putting a ton of graphics on the crown. But that's my opinion.

At this stage, they are probably too far along in production to stop and make a big change. It wouldn't be cost effective. Plus, just because a majority of us do not like it doesn't mean it won't sell.

I think it looks ugly, but i really really doubt it's ugly enough to seriously impact sales. If this isn't the top driver sold next year i'll be shocked. I mean i understand looks can affect purchasing behavior, and maybe it won't be as succesful as the original R11. But it's still going to trounce the field.

You [i]know[/i] when it comes out what is going to happen. People will say it doesn't look as bad as the pictures. This 100% will happen. And when they show pros gaining yards and everyone on tour using it. It 100% will sell.

They'd sell if they were cream sickle. Most golfers are not on this site and are not savy. Everytime I ask someone why they play TMAG, their response is because all the pros do on tv. I played with a guy the other day that said Mizzy makes crappy clubs because no pros play them.

I think we would all take a new TM driver for free. If you hit it great then it's just a $50 paint job and If you hit it poor then it's trade bait. Either way its a total win win!!!

yes. you can clearly see the shrink wrap on the club so I'd say that's marketing graphics people are talking about. tm would be silly to be that agressive with graphics on the head of a driver, unless it was their secondary price point line (RBZ). the only questionable look to the club is the new adjustments on the base of the club (which you dont see). either way, i dont think the graphics look that bad, even if in fact those are on the tour model head (not), so i think people are over reacting.

with that said, you can adjust it from 8 degrees to 12 degrees. so literally, other than different shafts and the standard/tour head options, you will really only ever need to sell one club to all golfers (regular or tour head... done). i think that's brilliant.... and hence the name r1... cause 1 head does it all. freaking fantastic.

judging by the photos i'd say they have improved aerodynamics of the club, which has nothing to do with adams golf , but know nothing about performance comparisons to r11 but can only get better.

A driver needs to be simple in its look. That's what drew me to the TM 300 Series, the R5 and the R9. I regret ridding myself of all of these over the years. The RBZ has grown on me, but after seeing someone's black one done by Continential Golf, I might be leaning that direction.

Never the less, my point is this. If they want to do a new driver with all the features the claim with the adjustable loft and etc, make it simple to look at, not make it a spectacle. I'll still play the product, but as I said earlier, I will stick with the older models because they work best for me. All new is not always the best!

I do not have any verifiable info but based on the pics of the R1, don’t you imagine they will have their own variation of the striped logo across the crown?
