I guess it was a matter of time for the mp54's to end up in an auction:

Is it common for Tour Issue irons to not have a serial number?

I've seen it happen on occasion, but not very often.

Looking forward to hitting that demo 6i..... Was told by Mizuno that it will be available to those places with sure fit cart the "3rd week of August" and orders will ship on Sept. 9th.... So basically what had been said already, but just confirming it as well.

I also asked about differences between the MP-69 & MP-4. They said the MP-4 will be "a touch less forgiving". That the 4D technology allowed then to move some mass from the center of the muscle and distribute more heel-toe weighting. In the MP-4 the put the muscle back into the center and shortened the heads on the short irons. They said that they were going for the best sound and feel possible in this iron. They also reduced the offset.
Looks to me they are targeting a crowd that wanted a "purer" muscle back this time round. In their FB post a week ago they said they didn't feel the need to make a "forgiving" blade this time round. I'm sure we can all go find out for ourselves in a week or two and hit them side by side. But for anyone like me, that was about to pull the trigger on the MP-69s and is dying to know, thought I would share :)

Did the rep say that the MP 53 or the MP 54 would be more forgiving? Any other differences?

What's more forgiving: h4 or MP54? I'm not clear the target buyer difference.
[/quote]

H4, 0-16 handicaps and MP54, 0-12 according to Mizuno. In there brochure, http://hodsongolf.com/files/2013/08/mizuno31.pdf , they offer pairing the MP54s with H4 in the long irons. H4s will be more forgiving in the long irons.

I dont think thats right even though its written that way. The MP H4s are huge. I think anyone can play those clubs.

H40s are big but have virtually no offset. For the majority of 16+ handi's, a bit more offset is helpful.

I had the same thought as well regarding the H4's. To me they seem forgiving enough for anyone to play them. However, the X Forged is so compact heel to toe, more so than the MP 64 yet users continue to comment on how forgiving they are in relation to its size. I guess there's a lot more to an iron than the size itself!
