That bag seems a bit strange to me for a pro. Big gaps at the top, 11.5 Driver, 15 3wood and a 22 hybrid. It also seems odd to me that a pro would have lead tape on the heel of a driver and three wood.

Almost seems like a bag that a hacker like me should play.

Nothing odd when you see these guys hit their club even with high lofts. Piercing ball flight looks amazing.

How is the lead tape on the driver any different than using the SLDR? It's not...just isn't as pretty. Scott Piercy uses a bunch, too.

And there's the likely open clubface, making the effective loft lower than spec.

Very nice bag of clubs, looks like he finds something he likes the look/feel of, then tweaks it to fit in the bag.

On the Callaway Podcast their tour rep Mike Sposa calls in to chat about Trevor's bag setup mainly the driver and 3 wood. It's all about the ballflight he is looking to achieve and the 460 head in that loft with the lead tape on teh heel is what gets it done for him. Something guys here should acknowledge. Not everyone needs or wants tour issue low spin 6* head with 4* open face angle rat glued in the toe with a T***** serial number XXXX flex.

Interesting seeing that lone Adams in the bag.
Seems to be relatively common for the "lone Adams club" being a hybrid, and oftentimes an older hybrid in quite a few pro's bags.

A bag of left-handed junk.

Haha what's wrong with lead tape on the heel? How do you know it's not to counter a face angle that's open?

I was more commenting on the location, if it's on the heel that helps the face close and prevents a slice...correct?

The Driver is setup at 11.5 neutral.

That was exactly my point, I was making fun of me not him.

In the article talking about his bag it said the driver was setup at 11.5 degrees neutral face. I was just surprised, I assumed most tour Pro's natural ball flight would be right to left.
One of my hard hitting plus cap golfing partners routinely drives the ball 300-320+ and he has his R1 set at 11+ degrees. When he hits the ball a vapor trail follows the club head before the sonic boom arrives. Great players know what they NEED to accomplish the job and it's not always the party line. Actually, most of the very best players I've had the pleasure of playing with ARE NOT club HO's and have no idea what I'm talking about half the time, could care less. Let's face it we goof around with clubs because we love it but most NORMAL people don't obsess like we (I) do...BB

Trevor looks to be onto something with his game and certainly his gear!

Not every tour player hits blades a mile hight or hits an easy draw all day long, some are quite the opposite. Some players prefer the way a club sets up and sometimes they have to tinker with it until it suits their eye.

I took a page out of a few players books and I'm playing a 10.5 head, love it. I just keep in mind that when I saw PGA Tour events in person, those guys hit their tee shots quite high but keep the spin rates where they need to be by messing with lead tape, weights or shafts.

Trevor's bag is classic Cally.

Greg
Usually slower swingers need more loft in general. But hes up there like 30th ish on tour with 119mph batspeed....while dead last launching it at less than 7*. I think he just hits it wicked low and needs loft. His whole bag screams loft. Time to copy Phil and use a righty Frankenwood and a 64* :)......or switch swing coaches if its not his previous injuries forcing him to come up this low ball game just to swing pain free
