Yes Unfortunately. I was hoping at the least they would stay the same as the first MM. But no. MAP came out at $299. The Core will stay at $139 for non-Drone models which are $169 (I think).

I actually thought the original finish on the Method line was cheap. I think the midnight looks much better IMO.

$299.99 but I'm sure there will be specials and sales all the time. Plus remember that Nike putters usually aren't exempt from coupons at the big boxes like Scotty is.

I know your being a little sarcastic, but what you may fail to remember is that when Nike released a "LIMITED RUN" Method 001 from the oven those "OVEN 001's" were sold out almost instantly. I guarantee with all the Scotty Fans that love the 009 design have a chance to pick up a Limited release from The Oven RM006 it will be gone in a heartbeat. I truly believe there's a little more love than 17 golfwrx'rs that will buy a RM006. Nike can do the exact same type of release and the same result will be a sell out!

Do not forget that the Method limited release was nothing special. It was just a facebook thing that allowed the first 100 people to own the method in their specs,and put their initials on. Nothing about the putter was special compared to the OTR one that was coming. It was not a "tour" putter. It was their (Nike) way of doing what Scotty does with the first of 500.

It was quite a big difference in what Nike did vs. what Scotty does with his 1st 500 run. Nike offered a putter to your specs with your name or initials and a Tour Stamp special wooden putter case and a 1-100 individually numbered COA. The Scotty 1st 500's are standard specs and have the 1st 500 stamp thats it but I understand they both are retail putters. The point is if Nike releases a 006 that is exactly like the Rory/Tai Prototype that we have all seen in the OVEN Trip thread then Nike will have a instant classic on their hands. The 001 was based off what Paul Casey used vs. 006 which is based off what everyone knows if the 009 Scotty that Rory used when with Titleist. So this brings people who are into the 009 Scotty putters into the mix as when the Limited Release Method 001 was released it was mainly just Nike followers who bought that putter. Two completely different types of putters with the RM006 having a much bigger following not just Nike loyalists. JMO

If you were Nike why would you do a RM/Tai putter? You went ahead and did the MM006 based off of the 006 and it didn't sell. Apparently to many it wasn't close enough. What is close enough?

What Nike putter has sold well though? The LE 001 sold quick because of the customization factor. They should do it again if you ask me.

If they are making them for special people,and tour guys,obviously it is a in demand putter.Unless Nike is just showing what they cand do as far as custom work. Tai mentioned his friend wanted his serial number to have one made. With the positive feedback,and or the guys wanting a 009 method type,I'd say they have to know it would sell.

For 299 a guy can spend a few extra and get a Scotty. I think Nike would have been better off staying at the $249 price. That would have kept them cheaper than the Protype and the Anser series.

But we've sold a lot of Method Core putters this year. Only behind Odyssey and Ping in sales. Beat TM, Yes, Cleveland. Maybe tied 3rd with Scotty.

+1 on the RM 006/Tai Putter being "in demand". It's so obvious that the putter head shape would sell, and much better than anything Nike has released in this new line of "MOD" putters.

In regards to the Method Midnight 006 not selling...maybe that had something to do with the non-bore in hosel configuration and the, IMHO, cheap looking plated finish. Add that to the fact that the lines on the Method Midnight are no where close to softer lines of the Rory Proto.

Exactly. Like it or not people still blindly follow Scotty Cameron and they are not going to pick a Nike putter over the SC's. They should have the COR putters at $99 and the MODS at $149. Even at $249 it's a big no go.

Honestly the cost of putters considering they have a $5 steel shat in them is highway robbery.

I would assume,and I am assuming the 299 is mrsp. Nike has a thing for making msrp higher than what retail sells them for. It may be a 299 msrp,but actually be 249 in stores. Then again, msrp could be 349 and sold in stores for 299. Just have to wait and see.
