Under armour outlet store clearance rack? Is this what they call a deal?!?!

Just a little rant on under armour. I've heard from people that under armour is a little expensive for their golf attire. I went to one of their outlet stores just to see if I can pick up another pair of golf pants. They said they had some in their clearance racks. I browsed through it and did find a pair of golf pants and looked at the price. The regular retail for these pants on their website was $84.99. Their clearance price was $79.99. A whole $5 dollars off. I asked the sales people is this was correct and they said yes. I know they can sell it for whatever they want but come on! An outlet clearance price saving of $5 dollars?!?!

Yeah, UA outlet stores are not awesome deals. Basically, you get a small color selection at a 10% discount from retail. In fact, I bet the superstore has better deals 100% of the time on their clearance racks.

That said, UA are my favorite shirts. Don't care for the shorts or pants...

I remember my first UA outlet experience was the same level of disappointment. There is almost no point to even having them in my opinion

I'm glad I'm not the only person who had that experience. I went to one a couple of weeks ago and (wrongfully) assumed that I would find good deals there. I was in the mood to buy some UA clothes and walked out with none.

Just went to a UA outlet store for the first time after a round and I was pretty jacked because I was determined to buy a s$%^ ton of stuff. Man was I disgusted with the selection and price. I will never go back to a UA store again.

Years ago you could go to the outlets and find deals galore in all the stores you went in. Today they still call them outlets but they are basically the same as any retail store. You have to look hard in any brand store to find a deal. Outlets are only a perception now based on what they used to be.

This is pretty much true at most outlet stores. They bring people in thinking they have better deals but unless you know what the regular prices are, you do think you are getting "deals". It is just another marketing angle and a way for developers to fill a large outdoor mall style property.

At the UA store you guys are correct. However, I went yesterday and found regularly priced $115 Columbia Hightail II Softshell waterproof/breathable Omni-Tech jackets perfect for golf marked down to $49 at the Columbia outlet. When I took it to the counter it rung up at $23. I wound up with 5 of them in various colors for me and my son.

I also came away with fleece lined Headwall II cold weather/snow pants regularly priced at $80 for $10. There were also deals at the North Face and Izod stores.

I picked up some UA loose fit long sleeve at Academy this past late winter for dirt cheap...under $20. I've tried other similar undershirts before for warmth in the chilly air and by far the UA did a better job for whatever reason without making me feel constricted (duh...loose fit! lol). I think it's a good product but no way would I pay full retail for it...their prices are steep.

UA, Nike and Adidas outlet stores in my area are a joke. I can buy UA, Adidas and Nike golf apparels cheaper from my club pro than at ther outlet stores.

A lot of companies use online to clear out inventory now, you don't have to cut prices as much. You see a lot more made-for-outlet products instead.

I've only been to a few UA outlet stores and I have yet to find any golf related clothing outside of their loose-fit polo's in the XXL sizes (I usually wear a loose-medium or fit-large)

most stores have special "outlet" product made at a lower cost/quality level than their typical product. What you see at the outlets is absolutely NOT the same thing you'd find in a regular store.

UA is still fairly small when compared to something like Nike, so they may not have that special "outlet quality" merchandise being produced yet

A lot of people mentioned izod for great deals and I agree, their prices are awesome and had a lot to choose from but the fit of their golf pants are really baggy/loose. Just not my style but for those who likes that fit, they are a great deal. Pants going for around $25.

while you got a good deal, looks like that jacket was never $115... the outlets fudge the original prices by quite a bit to make you think you're getting a better deal than you actually are

on Amazon, that jacket claims to have an original price of $99

and if you go to colombia's website
http://www.columbia.com/ there's no mention of that jacket at all

it's a lower quality and price line specially made for outlets.. doesn't mean it's necessarily bad, but it's not the deal they make it out to be.

outlet stores are a ruse to make you think you're getting quality name brand merchandise at a discount... but really.. you're getting second tier quality products that would never pass muster in those companies real stores, things that don't exist at real stores.

stuff you see at outlets, was designed to be sold at outlets... it was never in a real store.. it was not old inventory... it's products designed for the outlet in mind

outlet stores are a ruse to make you think you're getting quality name brand merchandise at a discount... but really.. you're getting second tier quality products that would never pass muster in those companies real stores, things that don't exist at real stores.

The golf pants I found in their clearance rack were the all season golf pants that are sold through their regular web site. Had the original price tag on it of $84.99 with a clearance tag of $79.99. So maybe they were irregulars or what not but those pants were sold in their real stores

They just recently opened a UA outlet store in Loveland, Co. It's really a waste of time in there.They have a very limited selection and the prices were still quite high.

We stopped in an outlet mall on the interstate just outside of Palm Springs however and the UA store in there did have a nice selection with some decent prices. I dont' know what determines what stores get what merchandise.

I rarely see any deals with Under Armour. Its a shame, as I love their apparel.
