Straight and most forgiving driver

Been doing some research on getting a new driver. I currently have a ping g20 10.5 with the stock stiff shaft. I feel I hit it a little too high. Looking for some recommendations on the most forgiving and straight driver

Any ping.....idk about straight cuz that depends on you...but forgiving the ping hard to beat

I actually didnt care for G400 I went back to G30

Your G20 Is fine maybe try lower loft...ping drivers go higher than most

G40@ max has the highest MOI of any driver. It may not be the best driver for you but it is arguably the most forgiving.

The G400 doesn’t sound like that. Much more muted than my old G30.

I have hit the g400. It is loud. To me not overly loud

I am a Titleist and TMAG homer, but the G400 Max was arguably the best driver I have ever hit. If I had the discretionary funds, it would be in the bag.

Yea the top stuff is a bit much. Sound not my favorite, but I like it when I crush one. I can honestly hear when it's going to be close to my max distance.

If new versions clean up the top I'd switch out

My Ping G is very forgiving but pales in competition with the G400 Max which is a cannon and very easy to use.

There are two wildly different criteria that determine straightest and most forgiving:

Objective scientific criteria; Which driver as the highest MOI?

Subjective personal criteria; Which driver do YOU hit the best?

As of right now, the PING G400 Max is objectively the straightest, most forgiving driver because it has the highest MOI. This can't be argued (unless there is another higher MOI driver out there I am unaware of)

The subjective criteria is just that, subjective. You may hit a persimmon driver straighter than the PING, in which case the science has done you no good. Figuring out WHY certain things work for you becomes the key. Static weight, swing weight, shaft length, shaft flex, shaft weight, face angle, loft, head size, head shape.....all of these things can impact your subjective criteria and influence your confidence level and how you swing the club.

If you aren't terribly picky then go with the science and then figure out all the other stuff around that, because the reason you may hit a technically less forgiving, less straight driver straighter could be due to one of the factors mentioned above.

That's funny, I have one and love the bling!

I wish it had more bangles and would love it if it whistled during the swing.

Seriously, I've never been deeper in more fairways. Whenever I pipe one, I like to turn to my group and say, "turbulators baby, get used to it".

That’s a good place to start. By the way, a high ball flight isn’t necessarily a bad thing. Many incorrectly think they hit it too high.

I still game my G20. I have two, one cut down to 44.5” and other standard. I use the 44.5” these days, when I hit it high, it goes the furthest and straighter.

I tested many drivers each year, but can’t seem to knock my G20 out of the bag. That said...

G400 Max and Srixon Z785 are the most forgiving driver on the market.

What’s the saying ? “One man’s trash is another man’s treasure”....

Never been a fan of TM adjustable drivers and the black/white top. “ But GW, you can’t see the good stuff on the bottom of the club.”

I know, but my swing doesn’t need the bling, it’s been dialed in for years, it is what it is and usually works.

My G400 with all the bling on top ? I frame the ball with it and it’s launch time, then i walk pretty far down the fairway and pick out a short iron. Those turbulators and dragon fly tech get a glance then it’s GO time. Rinse and repeat.

I'm more into function than form - the matte look helps with the turbulators - like the man above said, I take a quick glance at the clubhead and go - I'm not thinking about the top. If I do, I'm thinking it's there to help, and with driver, we all need help. At the same time, I understand that many like a clean crown.

Nothing will ever beat this bad boy. Longest and straightest ever.

Its a better sound than the g30 for sure but i still wouldnt call it muted. The g400 max sounds awful also.

According to 'Spy's website, the G400 Max is the most forgiving driver on the market since its MOI is rated at 5574 while the next most forgiving driver is about 8% less forgiving.
