Love this event! A weekend of Dubai and Torrey Pines for me is a non-major watching must around here! Biggest weekend on the schedule with those two for me until The Masters. Weekend of Qatar Masters and Bay Hill close behind though. Really those are the only two weekends I'll be fired up to watch golf until I hear the music from Augusta.

It’s the best of both worlds for us here over the weekend. Golf from Dubai when we first get up, out for a game (if the weather co-operates in the afternoon) and then back in at night time to watch it from Torrey. Add in playing with my son in the morning and evening when they are both on and that is pretty much the perfect day.

Hopefully the newly built up Bryson fairs better than he did last week.

Can’t help but feel you missed the word doesn’t between Bryson and fairs.

haha. I am actually kind of. sort of, trying to be, but kind of don't want to admit it. A fan of his. So no, I said it how I meant it.

Shaun Norris who has been killing it on the Japanese Tour for the last few years is so close to the world top 50 and a Masters ticket.

I hope he continues his good form in Dubai.

Thomas Pieters turned up today!! His -5 67 was more that 7 shots better than the course average today. I can’t recall seeing tougher conditions at this event. Quite a few of the bigger names never seemed to get going at all.

Stenson still seemingly running in place BUT that course is playing tough and even wasn't a bad round. I couldn't stay awake for all of his round, but Henrik didn't seem to be getting the irons close to the hole for the most part.

Eddie Pepperell out in the lead at -8 after a 67.

DeChambeau currently T9 at -4. I'll be interested to see how BDC's accuracy stats work out as over the course of the these two events on the ET it looks to me like he's spraying it. Too early to tell.

Victor Perez will be one to keep an eye on over the weekend.

Unfortunately he was 10 shots worse today, 67-77 for even par and now 8 back.

Unfortunately he's South African, we have a tendency to throw in one poor round a tournament and ruin it for ourselves... I'm really hoping this week he proves me wrong though!

Clearly Stenson moving from his black Icons to nursing home attendant shoes is affecting his game.

Noticed Bryson was bro-fisting everybody after his round today. Don't know if I've noticed that from him before or it its being done out of concern for avoiding the coronavirus that is starting to spread a little.

edit - nevermind. just saw his postround interview and I guess he's already a little sick and so probably just not tyring to give whatever he has to someone else.
