DJ Proto TaylorMade Putter!!!

Don't understand those that feel like SC has been ripped off. I would imagine that every putter designer in my generation has copied Karsten. Not just the Anser design but think about the My Day copy that SC made for Brad Faxon.

+1 on the played out skull and crossbones. I know everyone wants to be a little different and have something cool on their sticks, but at some point when everyone has skulls and bones all over their gear you're not being different anymore.

Im pretty sure Rocco has skull stickers on his clubs too. No offense but when the older crowd starts using something- its has pretty much run its course.

looks like a scotty to me, but poor attempt at deep milling. It seems like the paint in the grooves defeats the purpose.

I played with the original Corza Ghost literally the day it came out. I saw Justin Rose smoke the field a couple times with it and wanted to give it a whirl. It wasn't bad, but it didn't stay in the bag long (for no fault of its own)....


I think the putter is pretty awesome considering they're literally trying to duplicate his previous gamer. It's cool to see what TM can do when they put 100% of their effort into pleasing their staffer. DJ has it made man. Lucky dude.

The skull and crossbones are TM stamping. a lot of their tour putters for pros have that stamp. Rory has it on his also. The skull on the aldila RIP shafts are diff.

I was always under the impression that putter options were pretty open...length isn't governed (to any real extent), loft, lie, (most) finishes, milling marks, inserts etc. have never had any "legal" issues as far as I know...so why is it the USGA has to "approve" the white polymer finish on the face? Are there any other "taboo" putter issues out there (I'm not talking stances (e.g. "croquet stance" etc.), but specifically equipment)? Given that DJ is playing this putter, where does this leave this "rule"?[/size][/color]

I agree! It is cool on the RIP shaft because it is part of the marketing but to see DJ, Duval, Perez, Armour III, Rocco, etc putting this all over everything is kind of dumb. These guys are golfers not NFL linebackers.

Good question. BOS told me the same thing when I had a putter 'ghosted' there. The putter had an insert so no issue with that one.

Putter looks nice. With DJ being a top five face of the company I applaud taylormade for doing everything it can to get him 100%.
