I just bought new irons and these bad boys show up?

Looks like the Bridgestone J40s and Titleist AP2s got together and made these. I wish I could see if any of the bulk of the back of these is visible at address.

They definitely look deeper than the J40 CB, but they do look very nice.

Those are very sweet looking irons. Pure metal, no fancy badges or clutter on the backs of them.

Neither, right away. From what I have heard only a few sets over here and still in the testing stage.

The last few years Cleveland's iron offerings didn't gain a lot of attraction. Not to say they were bad, but they just didn't gain any traction like Titleist/Ping.

If it's true that Srixon is going to be focusing on the woods/irons in the near future and Cleveland to focus on wedges, this is a hell of a start!

Is that how this is going to play out? I wasn't sure what the split was going to be. Is this what it's going to look like in the states? Might be better served to keep Cleveland on the woods as at least they have SOME name recognition around then.

Srixon woods? Never heard of 'em (said 99% of the golfing public).

If the topline is on the thin side I'd try em, which surprises me. Kinda remind me of mp-64's, if you gave them 2-3 cycles of steroids. What am I even doing here, I'm never going to get rid of my irons..

I do see a resemblance to the Bridgestone/Tourstage irons, as others have mentioned.

I don't understand why they couldn't come up with a more original name though.
