Ha! Dave, the only thing in the locker are the three iron and the hat that came with it...I did put some things on top of the locker though! Once the golf season starts, and I start wearing the hat...I'm sure I'll come up with something. :-)

As to the snow. The only benefit I see is all the exercise we are getting with all the shoveling. Raking the roof is especially good too. :-)

I think I will look into ordering a custom Ping SNOW shovel. Guys call SGI irons shovels all the time, maybe having a real shovel with "Ping" on it will make snow remove a little less painful.

Noted where you are. My son lives in Franklin, TN. He works for a slot machine company as an compliance engineer. If you see a black 1972 Chev Nova driving around that'll be him!! or a 2003 red Vette. btw - he's thinking about returning to Florida since he doesn't like the weather in Franklin either : )

I think i read somewhere that temperature can affect your normal distances. How cold does it have to be before that happens? Yesterday, I overshot my intended target on the greens by a good 10-15 yards on a couple holes trying to compensate for temp. it was probably 50* around the time I was playing

It's sunny and MINUS 11 in Chicago. Think of us...take a pic of where you play so we can live vicariously through you...please!

 

I'm heading to range at the Desert Princess which is 1/2 mile from my house (pic below) and will play tomorrow. I will try to send a pic by phone. I remember spending a winter at Navy boot camp at Great Lakes in 1987...I'll never forget it....wind chills at -30F BRRR!

I actually think this is the first weekend weather will stop me from playing golf in Nor Cal since 2012?
I remember one Saturday last year - Sept. 21st - where I couldn't go out for my planned morning round because of some rain and had to wait until after lunch. That was a tough day.

Well I don't have it as bad as you do in Chicago. But it's currently 11* in Pullman, Washington with about a 7* wind chill. Two nights ago it was 0* and there was a -10* windchill. BURR!. The courses here have been closed since November 4th. I've been having terrible withdrawals.

I played at Cinnabar Hills yesterday. Brought all my rain hear but we hardly got sprinkled on all round. Ground was a little soggy, but overall it was a great golf day. Plus a sub-four hour round at 1:00 on a Saturday in the Bay Area is just unheard of.

I grew up near Buffalo, NY, lived in Niagara Falls, NY - Charlottesville, Va - Tampa, FL - St Augustine, FL - Sedona, AZ and now and my favorite Lakeland, FL. Weather here is by far the best. Please feel free keep the low humidity & temps over 100 of Arizona, the yards deep of snow in NY and the ice of Virginia.

I'll take 95* at 90% humidity any day of the week over 105* and 6% humidity of AZ. Yep, it's a dry heat alright.....and feels like hot as hell.

Just got back from the range and chipping green. Temps at 78* and absolutely gorgeous outside!!!
