Does anyone know when we will see pics of the fairways and hybrids?? I know they don't usually get released until around Feb but what is the usual timescale for tour testing? Apologies if this question has already been discussed earlier in the thread. Haven't looked through it all.
Tm Is not doing well financially, they spend millions and millions in marketing, make guarantees if you don't like there driver you can just bring it back, guess what many take them up on just that. I know a manager at Dicks and he told me more TM drivers are returned 3x more than any other. I think they have made some good products in the past but nothing I would play in the past 5 years and I don't like there marketing.
I'm not a TM hater and I think it's sad they are in my opinion headed for trouble. Maybe I'm old fashion but I still have the belief that you build a good product and it will sell itself by word of mouth, of course some marketing is always needed but when you reach the level of hype they have it's now the "cry wolf syndrome".

Only on wrx can an unreleased driver be losing ground to another unreleased driver before anyone has even hit either of them.

Is there a problem with that? Lmao

I think it is great! The Ping G30 is a ways behind for me, but if it looks smaller at address Ping just might get me back (last played G15)

This is the truth. I remember perusing around a Golfsmith probably middle of last year. Two guys come into the store, they have to be from the middle east somewhere just based on accent and dress. They don't even look around the store. They bust out a STACK (I'm talking Manziel money phone stack) of $100 bills and they each pay cash for a full blown set of TM RocketBallz gear. Woods, irons, bag, TM putter, EVERYTHING.

It was obvious these guys weren't golfers and were probably here on a business trip or something. Maybe going out golfing with clients, I'm not really sure, but it was obvious they didn't exactly frequent the game. Nothing was tried out, no air swings were taken. Probably $5,000-6,000 worth of equipment was sold right there.

Obv the Nike LE comment has been made more then once, and the LE is a solid driver, I've been playing one for awhile.

The appealing thing is the thought of an ADJUSTABLE Nike LE shaped driver. IMO Titleist had to go this direction to get the spin down, it seems like more Titleist guys play 7.5* drivers then any other company. Just a guess but I haven't seen too many Cally, Nike or TM heads in 7.5 loft lately.

tbomb
The VR Pro LE is one of the drivers I can't seem to sell as it's still a solid driver for me but you're right in that when Titleist offers a 7.5* head it's because it's high launch and high spin and pros need to start with the 7.5* and set it in the 6* range to get their preferred flight and spin.
I've said it before and I'll say it again. If you are spinning a Titleist driver over 3k rpms. you are the only person to blame.

Titleist drivers are not high spin or high launch. They play true to loft.

Jason Dufner could not spin the 915D2 enough!!!! This whole sub 2000 spin think is a load of bull**** 90% of the guys on tour Want to be from 2100-2600 rpms at 11-12 degrees.

If you want distance go for the sup 2k trend, I'll gladly give up 3 yards for consistency and accuracy.
I'm with you. I have a swing speed in the 110-115 range and my spin rate has always been on the low side right around 2000. I see a million threads on this forum of people looking for equipment to lower their spin with similar swing speeds and I wonder about their AoA.
Yup. With my 913 D3 my stats are...

SS 111-112
SD 1.48-1.5
Spin 2400-2550
LA 11.5-12.5
AoA +0.5

No need for anything less.
Worked with a Major Champion today on dialing in his 915 for The Open Championship. He asked me to take a look at head, loft, shaft, setting, etc. Also worked on fairway woods, hybrids and 714 AP2 vs 712U long irons trying to get any edge for this coming week... he certainly knows what it takes to get it done over there.

Head looks fantastic and really performs too....

915 went right in the bag-- Fujikura Pro was the shaft that made the gamer.

One thing I wanted to say-- amazing how much subtle change there is setting to setting, head to head, loft to loft when the guy swinging the club can repeat, repeat, repeat....

I was watching the Alstom Open de France highlights earlier today and noticed that Tongchai Jaidee had it in the bag. First week out on the Euro tour and it already has a top 2 finish.
Thanks. That is very good information right there.

I was a guy who said that Ping couldn't have scripted the intro of the G30 any better than having Angel win with it the first week. Knowing that Jaidee played well with the 915 is important information for me!

(Not being facetious here. I respect Thongchai Jaidee.)
