Taylormade sure has a bunch of people here hooked in their marketing. Numerous comments about how the weight is in the back so it must not be low spin haha. It is possible to have low spin with different weight set ups than the sldr. The bio cell line is a perfect example of that, plus it's more forgiving and no need to use a 12 degree head. Hope the 915 is more similar to the bio cell line than the sldr.

You're missing the point. Titleist didn't say, "You know what would be crazy? Let's use a diode as an alignment mark!"

They decided to use the logo from their irons in their fairway woods for consistency across their clubs. It just happens that the DCI logo is recognizable as a diode.

Looks like a page from Nike VR LIMITED drivers compression channel. Almost identical channel and head shape. That was a great driver. That driver looks sick. But these manufacturers just re invent the wheel.

Aside from the fact that it's meant as a joke, I think you're missing the point.

I knew that it was the DCI symbol. Whether it's irons or drivers is immaterial, why use a well known symbol - especially to engineers, no less - in an unrelated way. When the decision to use it was first made, without knowing why it was chosen in the first place, didn't really add much.

When the 913 came out there was a thread on the forum about how to mask off the stripes and use acetone to remove them from the bottom. Crazy.

I don't mind the bottom design. It's interesting. Different. Titleist always has great designs.

Nice head shape and the "slot" is certainly understated but why do we need yet another sole weight? At least the SureFit adapter looks the same. Based on the popularity of both the SLDR and the 913Fds, I had expected a version with the weight more forward.

I completely agree with all you said but my son played his first two years of high school golf with. 907d1 and was in the fairway most of the time. Can't understand how he looked down at it but it worked.

That was my initial reaction too. But, the more I look at it, the more I'm coming around. Looks-wise, all-round I think it's a really contemporary take on traditional Titleist. Bit more edgy and aggressive while not losing the plot.
